  1. Having Mississippi Nights close was such a bummer. I saw so many good shows there in High School.
  2. Looks like Wilco is on the bill for Bonnaroo. http://www.toogoodforradio.com/news/bonnaroo-2013-lineup-announced/
  3. There was an awesome show from the '09 show that popped up as a SBD and it had Cars Can't Escape on the set list. I think the show might have been in Dallas... ?
  4. I dig it. I've listened a few times now and I'm liking it more and more each time. Excited to see him play at the Fonda Theater (LA) in May. Got GA floor tix this morning! He played his first solo show last night and did the whole album front to back as the main set. I'd like to see that continue for his tour.
  5. I saw him open for My Morning Jacket back in September at The Wiltern and he played a few new tunes. He opened with a new song that must have been at least 10 minutes long.
  6. It always seemed to me that Jeff was using the actions of WWII Germany/Japan as a metaphor for the types of crazy shit people will do in their personal relationships when they feel they aren't being heard or valued enough.
  7. Thanks for giving it a listen! Our keyboard player did 2 of the songs (Warrior's Ballad and The Guns Song) with her real piano. It's an upright grand from1892. The rest of the keys on the album were recorded with an m-audio 88 key midi controller using a combination of an older Roland emulator/midi unit and patches in Logic Pro.
  8. Check out a stream of our album HERE. I'm really proud of this album. I did the engineering and production mostly myself; and my awesome band did the killer playing. Hope it's not too self promote-y to post this here, but if it's a problem please feel free to do whatever you need to do... Hope some folks enjoy this!
  9. I hear it -especially the jam part. I think it sounds pretty bad ass. Very new and old at the same time. I dig the weird video too!
  10. My band is releasing our debut album MONSTERS! this month. We have one track up on Soundcloud HERE!
  11. All of those "Evening With" shows had such badass setlists. Glad they did some webcasts since they didn't bring that show out West.
  12. This show was absolutely stellar. It was the shortest Wilco show I've seen and that didn't matter one bit. It was quite the magical experience seeing Wilco play in the snow. One thing I haven't seen anyone mention were the fireworks that preceded the evenings concert festivities. We were walking over to Ford Park from Vail and all of a sudden fireworks started erupting from the mountainside. That was a fun way to start the night. My girlfriend and I were right in front of Jeff, 2nd from the rail. This was the first time I've seen Wilco play where I felt like I was listening to them play
  13. I may be crazy, but I'm almost certain Wilco did not play in Los Angeles in June 2010 (or in LA at all in 2010, for that matter). I see there is a show listed on setlist.fm with a crazy setlist - but that show didn't happen on that date. I definitely would have been there if it had happened. I looked around on Wilcobase and the Wilco website tour archives and there were no shows in June 2010. Of course - neither of those sites list the Aspen Jazzfest show I attended on Labor Day weekend 2010. So obviously, I could be crazy. But, I'm pretty sure someone out there is making this show up.
  14. So psyched for the show tonight!!! Saw The Shins on Thursday and it was a pretty kick-ass show. The cold weather caused some technological mishaps and it made for a great show in the end. James' main guitar went dead during the first song and he ended up using a back-up for the whole show. Lots of improvising and jamming to make up for having to tune and re-tune every few songs due to only having one guitar for the whole show. It was pretty fun to watch them deal with everything. I was way more impressed with the band than at the show I saw earlier this year at The Gibson Amphitheater. C
  15. I'm getting so excited for this show!!! It will be my 6th Wilco show this year and I'm equally as excited as I was for the first set of shows back in January. Anyone else getting to this one?
  16. My band played Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon with Wizard Of Oz projected onto the side walls of the stage Saturday night. Someone in the crowd caught this footage and posted it on YouTube. Hope you enjoy!
  17. Pretty f'n rockin' if you ask me. I'm excited to check out the whole DVD once it's available.
  18. Tickets are bought and the road trip is planned!!! (null)
  19. Gotta say that I'm lovin' these Cardinals, as much as that make me have a heart attack - they know how to get a W.
