  1. You've inspired me to update my stats on Setlist.FM now. Looks like my top 3 most heard Wilco songs: 1. Impossible Germany (16) 2. A Shot in the Arm (15) 3. I'm the Man Who Loves (14) No surprise there. Looking at my Jeff Tweedy shows (which also include the Tweedy shows), there is way more variation, which is also no surprise. With 5 plays each: I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, New Madrid, and The Ruling Class. I am, however, surprised that a few songs that I've considered "classics" I've only heard a couple of times -- Pot Kettle Black (2), Side With the Seeds (2), I Must Be High (2).
  2. Normal American Kids @ If I Ever Was A Child Cry All Day Radio Cure Company in my Back Joke Explained Misunderstood Someone to Lose Shouldn't be Ashamed At Least That's What You Said Reservations Impossible Germany California Stars We aren't the World Forget the Flowers Jesus, etc. Locator Dawned on Me Theologians I'm the Man Who Loves You Hummingbird Late Greats --- Random Name Generator Red-Eyed and Blue > I Got You > Outtasite (Outtamind) --- Spiders @Jeff and Nels only There weren't any changes from the printed set list.
  3. You beat me to the punch, Remphish! It was nice meeting you and also running into some other familiar faces. Another great Wilco show and quite possibly the best view of the band I've ever had. I'm too tired now to add to what's been said above, but one bit of banter that resonated for me was: "save pessimism for better days." Looking forward to whatever tomorrow night brings!
  4. Going to nights 1 & 2. Up front in Orchestra Center. I'm getting psyched.
  5. Looks like April 21 and 22 at the Vic: GENERAL ADMISSION tickets go on sale on Fri. Mar 3, 2017 10:00 AM CST GOLD CIRCLE tickets go on sale on Fri. Mar 3, 2017 10:00 AM CST http://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/1443438?utm_source=fbTfly&utm_medium=ampOfficialEvent
  6. For stouts that see some wide distro, I recently enjoyed Oskar Blues' Barrel Aged Ten Fidy. The tallboys are kinda pricey, though ($15 ish).
  7. Good call-- I missed that show! I'm thinking Saturday the 29th at Newport Folk Fest is a very real possibility.
  8. Wilco Sun, July 30, 2017 Doors: 6:00 pm / Show: 7:00 pm Thompson’s Point Portland, ME http://www.statetheatreportland.com/event/1440805-wilco-portland/ I know Jeff and Tweedy have played in Portland, but i think this is the first Wilco show since... 09? A great surprise on this Tuesday AM!
  9. I'm hoping to hit Boston too, despite the fact that I really don't care for Harbor Lights as a venue. Anyway, looks like he played a pretty good set last night in NYC:
  10. That's interesting. If memory serves, they've allowed chairs/blankets for the last 3 SSFs, and for the first SSF Joe's Field was closed all day and a line began to form early in the afternoon. I much preferred the mad-dash to the front vs blankets/chairs being used as placeholders.
  11. You also should've stopped like 4 or 5 pages ago...
  12. Just finished listening. IMHO these are some of the best songs he's written in the last 10+ years. That 80s guitar sound isn't my favorite, but the songs themselves are strong. Can't wait for my vinyl.
  13. I think he mentioned the Whiskeytown book in a recent press interview, as I think I read that too. I (stupidly) ordered the new boxset. It is expensive, but after missing out on Life after Deaf I told myself I wouldn't second guess these types of purchases. There are so few artists I'd buy something like this for, I figured why not. Plus, having all of the PaxAm 7"s, the completist in me couldn't pass it up. I'm a sucker for some b-sides...
  14. Ryan's the guest on the most recent episode of Marc Maron's WTF podcast. They don't talk much, if at all really, about Prisoner. Ryan talks a lot about his upbringing and his relationship with his grandparents, the Whiskeytown days, a bit about his divorce. It's a good episode and it makes me hope that one day Jeff too will find his way into Marc's garage.
  15. I haven't yet! Been to quite a few breweries in VT and have spent some time in their beer hall in Boston, however. I'll have to make it a point to stop in next time I'm nearby. I always forget that they have that location.
  16. If I could spend my time at any Portland, ME brewery it would be Oxbow. Love their beers and taproom! I'm pretty sure John has posted an Instagram photo from their brewery up in Newcastle, which is cool.
  17. I got an email today from Songkick that the tickets have just been shipped.
  18. Vic benefit shows were announced on 1/26 last year. Curious if we will hear anything this month about shows in May...
  19. Really excited for this one. https://vimeo.com/196736852
  20. $450 ea for the good seats in Boston. I'll just leave this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Evs5HjjL0PM
  21. Meh. Really wish they'd work with local New England microbreweries. Some of the best beer in the country is coming from NE and they pick Lagunitas... edit: Then again, much like the lineup, I'm there for Wilco & everything else is secondary.
  22. He's never going to make Heartbreaker again.
