I have to say that I was relieved that the power did not go out during Wilco...that seemed to be the problem on the big stage. bbop's right about so much great music leading up to Wilco is somewhat of a trade off. I got to see 5 of my favorite bands in one day! Short sets of course but I'm pretty amazed right now. We are spoiled here in SF we have Hardly Strictly Bluegrass to look forward to and that one is free. So I guess it all balances out.

Well last night was really something...the speculation was running high...just studio albums or would live dead be included...I like to believe that phil was inspired by the residency shows and Springsteen, he was so joyful last night and the band KICKED ASS!!!! You're so right Johnny two st. stephens in one night...holy cow. I was astounded by AOXOMOXA. Never thought I would see that ever ya know? Thought he was one of the best of the Hardly Strictly Weekend. Granted we didn't have to pay...however without a doubt he had a huge crowd in the palm of his hand. Many folks thought he was the highlight this year.Beautiful voice wonderful songs and band. Would I pay 50 bucks for a seat with a good view? no doubt I'd be there.

well guys just a quick check in about the show...total scene outside the warfield. No comp tickets even the "list people" had to pay and que up. Wavy Gravy in the front row of the balcony...all the usual suspects on the floor. I swear to god I was convinced that Bill Walton was gonna stand in front of me like all those New Years at the Coliseum. I saw Jackie's birthday show in November and it was an awesome 5 hour marathon. It felt like Phil was really passing the torch on to him. Can hardly wait to see the playing in the band on Monday night...thank you Wendy! Hope Billy catches that plane but its pretty cold and rainy here so....we'll see.

We have a wonderful museum in Golden Gate Park with a cool observation tower.It's called the deYoung and the food is good too!!! Go visit James and Lillian at Hunan Home on Jackson and Grant, get reflexology right up the street, wander into North Beach visit Specs or Vesuvios, go to coit tower take the docent tour of the WPA murals.Visit the MIssson take a mural tour and eat at one of the awesome resaurants like Roosevelts or La rondella(late night)....so many places to walk and see beautiful sights.
