First album in 4 years, by one of the few bands whose work I still buy before I hear them. I am very excited! Along with Wilco, & The Flaming Lips, Yo La Tengo is about as great a band as there is in the world. I've seen them well over a dozen times over the years now & can't recommend them highly enough. Most recently I saw one of their Hanukkah shows in 2011 & then just a few weeks ago for a "Freewheelin' Yo La Tengo" show in Ithaca, & they were amazing at both gigs...but...this time I'm hoping for more dates in the Spring...because being that the dates closest to me are in t

I wonder if this was originally a child's lullaby first, & then someone in marketing decided it was marketable as "yoga music" as well? It makes total sense as a children's/infant's album, just about as much as it makes almost no sense as a yoga soundtrack.

I practice lots of Yoga too, and clearly am a huge Wilco fan...but I do have to say that this actually had me laughing my butt off...wonder who? how? bizarre & then some...

I recently played a real Gibson J160E & it sounded pretty good plugged in, but pretty bad when it wasn't...I'm much more of a Martin guy rather than a Gibson guy acoustic wise...like I'm more of a Fender guy than a Gibson guy electric wise...but it's a closer match electric wise...

I just them do this in Ithaca, NY at Cornell University...and then they did a full "Freewheelin' Yo La Tengo" Show afterwards...acoustic, Q & A with stories, etc.- these guys are one of my half dozen or so fave artists on the planet!!!

I always root for great baseball first, before any team...that said, I also root for the Red Sox, Mets & Yankees. So this year, it's down to the Yankees for me...in the NL I'm rooting for the Giants. Every game of the Yanks-Orioles series has been amazing, & I'm glad to have C.C. on the mound for tonight's finale. Go Yankees!!

I wrote to the good folks at Wilco HQ about "Bull Black Nova" being cut from the Roadcase #11 release (hoping that it was just an oversight & they it might be corrected & added to the download), & just got this response via facebook- "Unfortunately, we had to leave that one off for technical reasons. Sorry about that.". & from email, "Thanks for writing. Indeed, you are correct, Bull Black Nova isn't on there due to an audio recording malfunction during that song. We hope you enjoy the rest of the set though.". So I'm guessing something happened during the recording process...

While I'm actually six figures in debt technically, for my education...I also run a pretty successful little acupuncture practice right now (which is also how I got to see so many Wilco shows this Summer)...at some point, I may have to call on the local fellow faithful to have us divide up the purchasing duties...and/or go online to grab some of these...but I honestly like supporting the band.
