  1. Ya, I just downloaded it. Very nice! Needed a pick me up. Been sick from chemo session yesterday all day & the free download was a nice surprise. Good setlist!
  2. 2 great games in a row on 1 sunday yesterday. the nfl must be doing cartwheels at this point. as good as DAL/PITT was, the SEA/NE game last night was even better. for once, the refs didn't decide the game. just 2 great teams playing their hearts out. as far as the non call that decided the game went, it was totally appropriate. technically, both players probably committed fouls & the refs just let them play rather than try to decide who fouled first. as it should be. what a great game & i think a preview of super bowl 51. NE & SEA seem to bring out the best in each other. lets hope
  3. i'm in shock. i have a theory that pt barnum is the true father of the country. there's a sucker born every minute. there has been a mass brain washing & now the 4th reich is here. the military/industrial complex is going to go absolutely ape shit now. they have their crazy front guy now. i'm most likely going to be dead in not too distant future but am truly scared for the younger people i care about.
  4. you know rumour has it chris cornell was considered to front a zep tour after plant left post reunion show
  5. i like that it is not a standard LZ choice to cover. always loved that 1. made a big impression when i saw them in 1977. very early show in my concert going. the guys in temple are pretty much in my age group give or take. when we were in high school, the big rock stations here played a LOT of LZ. sabbath cover not unexpected. some of the other choices are interesting. i'm loving that they are doing the cure & a lovely bowie cover. chris' voice sounds great. i think pretty good chance that mr. vedder will show up here. he should be over his world series hangover by then, haha. i'm going to
  6. article about the first totd show in philly. looking good! 2 weeks to go... http://consequenceofsound.net/2016/11/grunge-supergroup-temple-of-the-dog-kick-off-reunion-tour-in-philadelphia-setlist-video/
  7. i saw norah jones a few nights ago. very nice show in the symphony hall. she was very engaging & had an excellent band. of note for wilco fans, she's borrowed the "hootenany" concept for the encore. they played acoustic around 1 mic, including "i don't know why". it worked well for her. nice date night concert for sure.
  8. well deserved & a long time coming! https://www.theguardian.com/books/live/2016/oct/13/nobel-prize-in-literature-2016-liveblog
  9. This was my friend's first Wilco show. She said it was the best show she'd ever seen.
  10. It looks like you got a great show. I'm glad you enjoyed it! They are an amazing band. I just saw 2 nights in a row in Seattle at the beginning of September. I've seen the band many times (going back to Summerteeth) & this time was among the best. They changed about half the set list over the 2 nights, so I was glad I went to both. I've turned my friend onto the band & she is a huge fan now. She was only able to go the first night but said it was the best show she's ever seen. I highly recommend the new Seattle Roadcase bundle. The recordings are stellar & I think the recording of
  11. I got the Seattle bundle & both shows are amazing. Night 1 is quite possilbly the best sounding live recording I've ever heard.
  12. excellent charity for disaster relief. i've done some research & this one has a very good rating & 97% of what comes in, goes out. really good percentage compared to others. https://www.americares.org/
  13. I just picked up the Seattle bundle, having gone to both shows. Haven't listened yet. Both were great shows. I had more fun the first night as I was with my friend. I went solo the 2nd night. The incident was weird & definitely kind of put vibe on the show. I was on the other side of the theater & we didn't know was going on. In this post Bataclan world people around me were very nervous as there was no information for a long time. Glad they put these out.
  14. As much as I like the new Wilco, I have to say "American Band" is album of the year. Instant classic.
  15. the seattle show is up on archive.org. free & legal! https://archive.org/details/dbt2016-09-29.dpa4061flac24
  16. They change the setlist every night at least some. I know Shit Shots has been played recently for sure.
  17. racism & the gun madness engulfing this country! go ahead & talk about the 2nd amendment. maybe we can go back to crapping in outhouses & chamber pots whilst waiting for the redcoats to come. i'll shut up now. pretty passionate about the subjects on the record.
  18. I'm with you. I'm roughly the same vintage as him & we think a lot of stuff in similar way. It's becoming lost in our brainwashed/braindead society. Proud to be a long time DBT fan. I'm listening to the new record again right now. It's an amazing work.
  19. i am recovering now. didnt get home until 2AM & i got walking pneumonia. luckily i had the foresight to take today off. they were unbelievably good! this was my 1st electric show & they exceeded high expectations. 1st, lydia loveless was a perfect opener. excellent 45 minute set. great band & she has a great voice. sort of reminds me of miley cyrus in a way (i like miley, don't hate on me!). dbt came on about 9:45 & played until 12:30. 31 songs with no break, they did away with the encore ritual. set list below. the band seemed really into it & enjoying themselves. really n
  20. the remaster of temple of the dog that came out today is totally amazing!
  21. I've been playing the new DBT a lot. It keeps getting better & better. Hopefully they will have cds at the rock show tonight as I've been playing a low bit rate download. If not, I'll go buy it tomorrow. The band is really tight & the lyrics are incredible. I'm hoping this record will get them a much deserved bigger audience.
