  1. The promoter that handled the Madison show has posted some great pictures and videos from the show.
  2. Omg omg omg omg...I eat at the Marigold ALL THE TIME! And now I know PAT SANSONE eats there too!!! AHHHHH!! Hehe...
  3. Did anyone else see the "Jersey Boys" around the 5th/6th row right-center that were fist pumping everything? At one point late in the show, one hooligan took his shirt off and started waving it 'round his head like a helicopter...
  4. Last night was probably my favorite Wilco show I've ever seen. As a little bit of back-story, I was attending the show with my ex (of 1 week after dating for 13 months) and it was the first time we saw each other since the break-up. We bought the tickets way back when and I encouraged him to come, as it was his first Wilco show. He really started to get into the band after I was playing the new album all summer and going on a bender of learning as many Wilco songs on guitar as possible. It could have set up an explosive situation last night, but we focused on the music and the blistering per
  5. I saw Muse in the basement of The Rave in Milwaukee in January of 2002 with maybe 150 other people.
  6. I second all the things that Smokey Joe says. I will also add: If Pat has an electric guitar in his hands, keep an eye on him through the song--he is quite the showman. With respect to getting front row: If you have the time, and want to GUARANTEE yourself a front row spot, get in line early to mid afternoon (1-3pm). Others on the board will say that you don't need to get there so early to get against the rail, but if you want to assure yourself that position, it is worth the time and effort. In addition, chatting with Wilco fans in line is a great way to meet some interesting and exciting p
  7. Yes--Romance is Boring is the new LC! album. I would say it sounds more like their second album, but with much much darker imagery and bigger production. I love Gareth's sense of humor and it shines on this record. I'd really recommend you listen to it at least twice. It is a huge step forward for this fledgling band.
  8. HIGHLY recommend streaming this on their Myspace page
  9. LCD Soundsystem Los Campesinos! Arcade Fire Spoon The National New Pornos
  10. I just saw this on Wilcoworld. Hopefully there will be a little tour built around it. If they announce a Marfa show, I will find a way to get there.
  11. I hope they don't go back to the Milan set after this song. I enjoy not knowing what's coming next.
  12. Ok...so after that "Dutch" bit, we know that it is a live stream from Amsterdam...just the same set as Milan.
  13. 5 for 5 with the Milan set. And no, this is not me complaining--just stating facts.
  14. Did Pat sit in with The Clientele? He's appeared on a few of their albums. I wish they would tour the US together.
  15. After this tape has been plastered on every sports blog known to man--even garnering coverage on ESPN, when collegiate soccer has no reason to be covered--I hope that the team/conference suspends this player for an extended period of games. If I were the coach, she wouldn't be playing for me ever again. This is one of the dirtiest displays in a soccer game I have ever witnessed. This includes years of refereeing soccer games at the state level where kids (young adults) feel like they're playing for their lives; I have never seen such a reckless disregard for sportsmanship. Utter tosh.
  16. Linked to the mother. I'm glad my birthday's next week
  17. I do remember standing next to you two in line one night and chatting, albeit briefly. Major vibes for her and her family. As soon as I publish this post, I'm calling my grandparents.
  18. I think I'll have to go out and get the Califone album if everyone here is giving it high praise. But my top albums are, in no particular order, Girls, St. Vincent, The Decemberists, Phoenix, Dirty Projectors, and the Dark Was the Night Comp. I wouldn't put W(TA) in there. It's solid, but I was expecting something bigger and better.
  19. That second link omits the necessary underscore: this should work.
  20. Holy cow. This is suddenly turning tragic. I've heard numerous reports that the boy fell out of the balloon. I'm just hoping that he didn't get in the darn thing at all and that he's hiding somewhere at home.
  21. From CNN: The balloon is down. No word on the state of the boy.
  22. Starting QB for Whitewater, Jeff Donovan, went to my high school and we have a lot of the same friends--my only tangential addition to this thread.
  23. If that were the case, I wouldn't be worried about forecasting in Eugene Duluth = Canada Madison ≠ Canada, but it's pretty close to the Pac NW
  24. Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I did find one of those badass Macs at the library and made the files much more manageable. The video is up on youtube now and being sent to perspective employers.
