  1. I had to Google that first dude. RATT, well...all that 80's American hair metal shite meant nothing to me. Still doesn't. Garbage the lot of it. You can lump Kiss and that sort of shite right in there too.
  2. Can't believe no one posted this one.
  3. That overcoat and trilby hat looked good I tell ya!
  4. Ever wish you never clicked into a thread?
  5. Early 1980's for those right? I was moving in a Joy Division, Bunnymen and Smiths direction then so I had kinda left metal behind for a while.
  6. Accents are cool though and you can forgive a lot if the accent is lilting. I love the Geordie accent and the Scottish and anything polite and gentlemanly from the US South.
  7. It is a bit of a shame to see the media joke that Oz has turned into though. I never had much time for his solo stuff either. I think I had moved on by that stage.
  8. Maybe this is just me but anyone here who has Sky tv, the UKers, may have spotted this. Whenever any of the presenters, be it sports or news, say the word "sixth" they always seems to leave out the "th". Have they been media trained to pronounce this word incorrectly? Everyone seems to do it. It ends up sounding like "sick" and it does my fucking head in!!
  9. That is just the fucking bizness! Nirvana were due to play in Dublin shortly after he was found dead and I was bummed about that. I saw them in Dublin, must have been their jaunt with Bleach. They were third on the bill after The Breeders and headliners Teenage Fanclub. A great threefer of a show that was.
  10. I love Mastodon, they just keep getting better and better for me. Leviathan was awesome and Skye is leaning towards that category too.
  11. Bob Dylan caused it all with the release of Love and Theft. Fact. Ask Bob himself.
  12. Vol 4 is probably my favourite too. That and Master Of Reality were the first two Sabbath albums I got and I fell for them big time.
  13. I thought they were funny once but then I gave up smoking drugs and they never seemed quite so amusing after that.
  14. I bow to your superior knowledge there , ole timer.
  15. They are one of my biggest regrets, having passed on seeing them when they were in Cork a few years ago. I was so pissed off for months after at not having gone.
  16. Just saw this comment on one of the YT videos: From a 70's Cheech and Chong sketch "What made you drop out?" "One day I played Black Sabbath at 78 speed." "And then what happened?" "I saw God."
  17. Iommi may regret it being out there but it is a hell of a version. I can seriously imagine being half assed drunk and cutting a rug to that! The quality of the clip is fantastic. You are right of course about Ward being a great drummer. The Sabs used to be my only band when I was in school... Deep Purple, Zeppelin and those were all just second place as far as I was concerned.
  18. I love the Brummie accent. "Oright skip!" He looks in bloody fine fettle though.
  19. In fairness, Ozzy has been a bloody joke for years now. His missus has more testicles than ole Oz does these days.
  20. I suppose he can't to be honest but what age is he? He must be 60 or over at this stage isn't he? I would be thankful to have a voice like that at his age! How it will hold up in the gig atmosphere is kind of worrying though. I haven't heard the album at all but that song is kinda cool.
  21. This just gets better and better.
  22. Oh yes, Tim's album was so good and well worth checking out for those who don't have it. There are two guys from the Jawhawks fanpage who are travelling all round Oz to catch the boys in show.
  23. Carole King - Tapestry. Just like your favourite pyjamas as a kid, warm and comforting.
  24. Insane? Likely to verbally destroy your manhood?
