  1. Serious? It was bloody boring. Is that meant to be a re-make of The Omega Man? If so, Charlton Heston you are forgiven!
  2. I really, really regret not seeing Leonard Cohen playing three nights in Dublin last summer. I was away in Italy at the time and was so pissed off about it that it nearly ruined the holiday.
  3. I watched half of I Am Legend last night. What a heap.
  4. Site stream - audio rip - leak - furious bitching and moaning - kung fu fighting - lots of "it's no YHF".
  5. I wouldn't go that far but they are certainly not anywhere near a must listen/must have item.
  6. A playlist of Smashing Pumpkins on youtube. Like I said elsewhere, a great fucking singles band and I fucking LOVE Jimmy's drumming.
  7. I would also recommend, if you haven't seen them, Homicide:Life On The Street and Generation Kill.
  8. So do I. In fairness, all their album have some great parts to them. As a singles band they were fantastic, I thought. Corgan is a bit of a mentalist though all right. Hell, I even love James Iha's solo album Let It Come Down.
  9. The new stuff doesn't fill me with any love at all. The songs are just only ok, from what I have heard and seen. I think this is something he just has to get out of his system, I hope it is. As for The Archives, I would really love to buy the Blu Ray or DVD sets but in these credit crunching times I just cannot justify it. Maybe someday when they are in the discount baskets.
  10. A gang bang situation with no idea of paternity? Cool!
  11. S'all in da game, yo. Brother is cold as ice.
  12. I love this show. I am fully aware that it is edited to kingdom come and that doesn't detract one little bit from my enjoyment of it. Those are some hardcore guys. I worked on a trawler for a while, nothing like the kind of conditions these guys face, and it is one long fucking slog. The Northwestern crew are bad ass dudes. Edgar Hansen looks a little like a rough Dave Grohl to me.
  13. Two Blue Lights off Songs:Ohia's album Didn't It Rain. Feckin' gorgeous track.
  14. It's my birthday and it would be the perfect gift for me too so buy two.
  15. I like their stuff well enough but they are certainly far from unmissable for me. Review sounds good though and Uncut have rarely steered me wrong. Except with that Animal Collective wankery.
  16. I dunno, I really liked a lot of the recent album Zeitgeist. Doomsday Clock had some hard drumming. great song.
  17. Obviously something only available "under the counter" in John Deere stores.

  19. It will never be Pumpkins without Jimmy's drumming.
  20. Reincarnated as a tuneless, wailing, crossdresser? Bad karma.
  21. Did you see the scene where Bunk and McNulty were scoping out a kitchen after a shooting and deciding how it went down and the only word uttered between them was varying degrees of "fuck"? Outstanding television.
