  1. Making money? Fuck him, there are plenty Hollywood types feeding him and his ego...believe me, he doesn't need the cash.
  2. It might not be cool but I love these guys latest album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wmr8D3JBsvg
  3. I love most everything Son Volt has done. Even some of Okemah, not my favourite, is very, very good. However the initial 3 albums are truly the most outstanding work Jay has done. The guy is a hardcore, dedicated musician...sometimes to his detriment resulting in his not being as well known as he should be.
  4. Well, this is no David Hasselhoff board but it's ok.
  5. Yes, that's how I view the band as well but I still really enjoy listening to them and sometimes even getting an education from the lyrics.
  6. Correctamundo. Give that and the Guns album to someone you don't really like this Christmas.
  7. I dunno, the trailers of The Spirit look really entertaining. I'm looking forward to it anyway.
  8. We really need an intervention. Or something.

  10. I always preferred them over most of the tripe that surfaced with BritPop so fair play to them. All we need now is Mansun to reunite.
  11. The new album is bloody great. Once you get into it after a few listens it really gets under the skin. Great to see the boys playing in support of it and selling out most if not all of the European shows. The cds at the shows are selling out in no time too.
  12. My Bruce love is seriously on the wane. I quite liked a lot of D&D and some of those Seeger things but the last release I really loved was Tom Joad. That Magic album was gruesome.
  13. Unless they buy me a Bugatti Veyron then it isn't worth interacting with the weirdoes I work with.
  14. This is one band that I really couldn't give a shit about. If they come on the radio, which they do nearly every 5 minutes over here, I can quite happily work away at whatever I am doing and if I don't hear them at all, well that's fine too. I have never encountered a band to move me less either way (love/detest) in my life. Not even Foo Fighters are this bland for me.
  15. Let's see, which way will I vote?
  16. Like a virulent case of malaria....or Tom Jones.....they just keep coming back.
  17. Christ, talk about shattering illusions. Next you'll be saying that Solace isn't really Barack Obama.
  18. Even the fecking name...Frou Frou....you should run a mile from that alone.
  19. No way would The Bunk say that.
  20. Stop moaning about it then and get on with it!
  21. The one I always identified with and still do. I was inconsolable in my bedroom as a 15 year old whose whole introverted and miserable school/teen years was only brightened by music. Coming so soon after John Bonham I was devastated. Only two years since I had left NYC to live in Ireland and I couldn't believe someone from my city could have done this.
  22. 7 Chinese Brothers. One for each day of the week.
  23. *thanks Allah that someone else asked this question*
