  1. they did the hootenanny in Knoxville most notably they did "the lonely 1" that night.
  2. Santa brought me AMF as well. I patiently waited to listen to a majority of the collection on vinyl, and I am so glad I did. Just now spinning side one, and so happy. Nice to kick back with some cocoa and listen to these tunes.
  3. nobody dies anymore gets stuck in my head the most. Followed closely by pigeons.
  4. Honeycombed gets my vote. It made me cry the first time I heard it live. It's such a sweet melody.
  5. So disappointed in my state. Hypothetical and imaginary children have more rights than women do in my state now basically. Sad.
  6. I don't think they were going to release it. Maybe, but I'm betting a bit of what they got paid for the taste of Chicago show went to the Ryman to release the recording.
  7. It's not that the Ryman is restrictive, but their licenceing fees to release recordings are outrageous.
  8. I told my dad wilco was labeled "dad-rock" and he said he'll let them be "daughter-rock" because he's not going to another Wilco show!
  9. FINALLY! A road case release that I have been at!
  10. Make sure to turn the brightness on your phone down.
  11. He had 2 different outfits on in Knoxville. And he wore 2 different shirts at the ryman. United pressing plant shirt on night 1. Can we talk about Glenn's hair now *leisurly strolls to RSBF thread*
  12. If you guys wanna come trick or treat at my house we've got like 10 lbs of candy left over from the Aquarium Halloween party. My costume this year was a heavy metal drummer
  13. I never ever thought I would see the singer in my favorite band play charades with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Very cool. And hysterical. Loved both performances.
  14. I saw road case mics up in Knoxville. Hope they got the Ryman shows. I didn't pay attention to look if they had mics up there.
  15. He played it on a couple numbers in Knox last night- it sounds awesome. Just the same as it did with Tweedy. Very cool to see him playing some different guitars.
  16. Oh also, I made this little guy for Jeff cos he used to have a pretty cool collection of vinyl toys, so I thought he'd like it, and it ended up on his amp. Seriously though, what a show. I don't know what else to say about it. Hoping some more pictures surface at some point. There were a lot of photographers there.
  17. Nothing will probably ever top this show for me. Ever. I think it depends on the crowd a lot. The first time I saw Wilco at the Ryman everyone in the balcony stood. Then in 2011 I got yelled at for standing in the balcony. You're at a rock show, you stand. Period. But that debate is not worth getting into.
  18. Knoxville was good. Nothing will probably ever top the Ryman shows that preceded it though. Where I was in the pit was very strange. There were very few young people in the pit- lots of older affluent looking folks. Many seats were also vacant... it made for a sort of strange time. Not many people around me were very into it. The guy to my left just stood there and kinda glared then left halfway through the show. I wish that folks would have been allowed to come down and fill the empty spots, but they had security on the entrance and you had to have a wristband to get back in. Lame. Very tic
  19. I think that last night was my favorite Wilco show since my very first Wilco show. Wow. Just wow.

Except for the entitled old lady and her ipad... She probably does not know about VC though. It is odd that the shows didn't sell out, though there was a lot of other competition in town for folks money. Plus, Jeff was at the Ryman solo only 4 months ago. Either way, I thought the shows we amazing, and so were the people. Only a few silly drunks and things like that, nothing that could spoil the show.
  21. John was definitely adding bass on Promising. Wow what a night. Thrilled we get a chance to see them 2 more times! TN WILCO trifecta! It was awesome to see so many folks from the board last night and even a VC vet from a long long time ago that I never thought I would meet. Very cool. Lots of hugs. I can't even begin to fathom what tonight's show is going to entail. That solo acoustic unplugged Misunderstood had me crying. So amazing. I'm glad it ended up on YouTube. Interesting note; the security made a point before doors to actually say: "take all the still pictures you want". Has Wilc

Yeah! You'll only be a couple seats down from us! I think there's only 8-9 seats on row BB cos there's 12 on AA and BB is a very small row.
  25. At work on the radios we ask what's your 20 to find out where folks are, so it kinda tickled me to see that was the record title.
