We got in line at 11:00am and were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in line. There were about 20 people who had early entry (though, because of my disability they let us in with the folks that paid all that money. Everyone that showed up before at least 2 ended up on the rail or 2nd row. That was my experience in Nashville.

AmericanaramA Concert 4 Nashville, TN 6/30/2013

I was right in front of John and Pat, and for the first couple songs I thought John's vocals were a bit louder that Jeff's, but it was quickly fixed. I thought Nels was pretty quiet though, yeah. It was strange. Must admit, seeing the set lists from the other gigs I feel a bit let down with what we got in Nashville now. I think I would have preferred last night's set from AL more to the one we got in Nashville. The collaboration with Bob Weir, while neat, really left me wanting 1 or 2 more Wilco tunes... I felt like the Bird Song or whatever it was went on FOREVER and ate up a lot of tim -

No guys (specifically dad-guys) allowed! Man, I remember when I 1st came here, Rosie and I were so skeptical of one another ("there's no way you're 15-16...etc") and now she's one of my oldest friends! I do miss those late night post sessions. -
Weir. I don't smoke.

Maybe it's because I know next to nothing about the dead, but Weir was so boring to me. The songs seemed so disjointed and I felt like he was kind of a mess. Maybe too stoned or something?
-
I never really took that song in that way, if anything I thought it to be more of a "somebody's always got it worse that you, so these little things bogging you down shouldn't matter very much" kinda thing.

I love every album wilco releases. But each in a different way. W(TA) in retrospect seems like a perfect bridge between SBS and TWL. I think sonically TWL blends the best elements from the 2 records that came before it by the current line up. I don't think it is really fair to judge the earlier records against the 07 to present albums because it was entirely a different line up.

Sorry. My signals got crossed. Airline came on in the car a bunch on the way home. My bad. Passenger side was played. Standing O was omitted due to time. Also they sound checked "Was I In Your Dreams". -
Cam, email twig case about your case breaking. They'll replace it for $30. I'm gonna get mine replaced when I have the cash. Dropped it at work and a big chunk came out of the corner.

In case you missed it, the roadcase has recordings of both Solid Sound nights available

Voodoo Candle was excellent live the other night. I think it was my favorite song they did.

I wanna get the shirt with the sunloathe monster guy on it. That little guy is adorable. I got the iphone case as a gift, and it's really nice. I think I might save and get a grounds crew jacket. How do those fit, size wise, for those of you that have them. I was looking at the size chart, and want to make sure i get the right fit.

I had a blast. The highlight for me was when Jeff saw the poster I made for the gig. (it's become my "thing" now when I go to the shows to write something on a poster board to make them smile, this time it said "thanks for being my favorite band for 12 years!) Jeff saw it and said "you're welcome" I loved seeing Hoodoo Voodoo live again. It's such a fun song, and the interplay between Pat and Nels is awesome, although, every time I looked at Nels much of the night he look really serious and sorta going through the motions a bit. On the other hand, my friend that came with my husband and I -

I'm gonna try to remember most of the songs Wilco played. The show was pretty heavy on Mermaid Ave. songs, and I was missing "Whole Love" a lot. Bummed they cut "Standing O" also, they ran out of time because Bob Weir was having difficulty getting started on their jam. The Beatles tune was incredible though. This isn't in order and the best of my recollection. Blood of the Lamb Airline to heaven Mountain Bed Side with the seeds Misunderstood Bob weir jam > tomorrow never knows Laminated cat Born alone Impossible Germany Jesus Etc. Hoodoo Voodoo -
I bet those shows were awesome. I want to see "Hitchhike To Rhome" one day in it's entirety. Tommorrow I am going to see AmericanaramA with my husband and my friend. So so so excited!

Thanks. I think we're gonna get in line around 11am Sunday. The show in TN is complete GA. Which is a little nerve wracking. Thanks for the good report. And at Jeff's rainbow quip. -

How early did you line up to be on the rail? -
So tonight at the Son Volt show a girl decided to stand right behind me and talk to her friend in the most annoying screech. In between songs she would scream "Mystifies Me!!!!" at Jay. THEN when he refused to acknowledge her (because he usually ignores those drunken requests almost 100% of the time), the idiot girl JUMPED ON THE STAGE! No joke. Jay had his back to her and the bass player Andrew said "What the f- GO AWAY, shoo" and the idiot girl went off stage with this dejected look. Hopefully she got kicked out. Matt and I were dumbfounded that this entitled lady would do that. It was a

Maybe they should just put Impossible Germany on the back burner for a bit totally. They did that with Jesus Etc for a bit.
-
Wow. That is so strange. Seeing them tonight. Will report back on how the gig is. I've never really read anything about Farrar taking drugs so that's really surprising.
-
This fall when the Old 97's were doing their Too Far To Care anniversary thing, the OPENED and CLOSED with "Timebomb". That was pretty neat.

Listening to the all request show... hilarious. The "stump the band section" has be rolling.

I think taking a break can be a good thing. Sorry people got under your skin. Happened to me a long time ago, and eventually, I just decided everybody's got assholes and opinions so it doesn't matter. We're all allowed to be disappointed in Wilco shows. They're regular people like we are, you know? Come back soon!
