It's very interesting. I took a beginner percussion class in college and played on the front line ensemble in high school so i know how to read percussion music. I am probably gonna buy this book with money from Christmas just to get some insight into Glenn's chops. I think it's really cool he put out a book like this. it'd be like Jeff putting out a book of why he picked certain lyrics or chords.

I wonder if January and February might be a good time for Jeff Tweedy to come do some solo dates down South? Especially with the Autumn Defense in Europe....

I want the pig tee. And that grounds crew jacket. And a new hoodie. I need to start saving!

I know there are several musicians here on the board, so I thought I would share this. Apparently, Glenn put out a book that's sort of a drum instructional. It goes through how he came up with beats to a bunch of wilco songs as well as the ways he applied classical technique to the drum set. Very neat! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM68hDQOR24 Link for the book: http://www.alfred.com/Products/A-Beat-a-Week--00-42256.aspx

Fantastic. the Bridge School.

I might buy that for the demos, but it sort of leaves a bad taste in my mouth after shelling out all the dough for the reissues that happened last year (or was it the year before?)

Daily. At least one song. I feel weird if I don't.

In the winter months I sleep on the left side because it is the side not under the vent for the heater/ac. It's opposite in the summer months because I like the ac in the summer. Luckily, my husband is not picky.

One of the lines in the Nashville song he talked about in the interview is "who do I gotta blow to get in this fucking show".

This is pretty hilarious. I am going to put this on a mix and give it to my friend that's super serious about this sort of punk-ish stuff...

Isn't it tomorrow?

Artists you were late in coming to—now you can't get enough.

I'm still digging it. Wish they were coming through Chattanooga again. I've seen them 4 times now, and I can't justify driving 2-3 hours to see them.

Seriously. The amount of love in that tiny room was ridiculous. I will go see him any time he comes to town for sure. Picked up the limited ed. 7" he had for sale too (new song called Philosophize It! Chemicalize With It") and it's pretty great.

Saw Kishi Bashi last night. If he's ever out in your neck of the woods: GO he's amazing. Seen him twice now, and he's engaging, adorable, and energetic as hell. His songs are like what Andrew Bird and The Flaming Lips love child would sound like.

I watched the show with my sister and a couple friends last night, and as the little dots hovered around I said "wouldn't it be awesome if it were some neighborhood kids with laser pointers?" and when the reveal happened everybody busted up. It was excellent. One of the funniest things from this season...

Yeah, I do wish Jesse had got to the money... but I guess he didn't really want it anymore because of how he treated his own funds going all paper boy with them, you know? Wonder if he calls the vacuum guy? Maybe goes and says bye to Brock? Did anybody else think Todd's ringtone was mega-creepy?

highlight for spoiler: The laser pointer thing was genius

is this like a RTT? if so: enjoy.

Digging that new song. This might be a bit more of a "rocker" album for the AD So sad I couldn't see them in Nashville last week. One day...

This is an excellent show that I haven't heard either. Listened and downloaded from Owl and Bear Archives. Nice stuff.

I listened to the tracks on that site, and I couldn't tell a difference between them and what's currently in my itunes... maybe I'm not listening right?
