Now playing 19th June 2006

Recommended Posts

borrowed from Library yesterday and checking out, mostly enjoying:

Ted Leo/Pharmacists - Oak (something or other)

Hearts of Oak.

If you like it at all, also check out The Tyranny of Distance. I can say without exaggeration that that album is one of my all-time favorites.

I haven't even checked out Hawk and a Hacksaw yet. What am I missing?

Simplest explanation, it's kind of an instrumental Beirut. But personally I think the compositions are way, way better. One album of kind of twenties weird silent film sountrack-ish stuff and one album of european folk.

Cool. I looked in the record store today, but couldn't find anything by them.
