wilconut
Damn. That looks pretty good to me. I would've loved to have seen LNGCA make the cut, Let's Fight as well, but I'm glad to see Impossible Germany and Either Way, as well as Side With Seeds and a few new tunes too we have yet to hear. I'm getting stoked for this...
Synthesizer Patel
From nme.com 'Either Way' 'You Are My Face''Impossible Germany' 'Sky Blue Sky' 'Side with the Seeds' 'Shake it Off' 'Please Be Patient With Me' 'Hate it Here' 'Leave Me (Like You Found Me)' 'Walken' 'What Light' 'On and On and On' Super duper! That looks pretty good to me. I really hope that "You Are My Face" is played out with Tweedy singing an ode to his face into a mirror - I think that would be interesting to hear. bedbug
From nme.com 'You Are My Face''Shake it Off' Hate it Here' 'Leave Me (Like You Found Me)' Have these been played live?
aricandover
'Shake it Off' was played in Noevember. not sure about the others. they might have had different names on setlists, or they could be entirely new.
wilconut
Shake it Off has been played live once or twice. I know for sure they played it one night over Thanksgiving in Chicago. I don't believe the other three have played yet. Something to look forward to.
wilconut
By the way, anyone surprised to see On and On and On make the cut? I think it's a really beautiful song, but they only played it a few times and the general opinon here was that it wasn't that stellar--not that what we say goes, but I'm a little surprised to see it on the record. bedbug
By the way, anyone surprised to see On and On and On make the cut? It's one of my favorites of the new ones! 2nd only to Impossible Germany maybe. I don't think I'll miss "Let's Fight" at all.
mardog
Have these been played live? I saw "Shake It Off" a couple of times this fall. Glenn's work in the ending sequence made me go &
wilconut
For some reason, I was really holding out for Let's Not Get Carried Away. It's a good ole' rocker.
Atticus
I think let's fight has plenty of potential. the cheezy keyboards were a stinker, but I still love the structure of the song... so can someone please you-send-it the demos and engineer's demos and the two eps? I don't have them yet...
Chris_H_2
Side With The Seeds just sounds like a perfect album closer . . .

jethro
I've been trying not to be so negative about the new record, which mostly means not hanging out on VC, but... wuss..|.................rock
cryptique
Interesting how you can comment on a record no one's actually heard.
TCP
I am happy! As long as "What Light" and "Impossible Germany" are on the album, I'll be happy.
bobfrombob
wuss..|.................rockAbsolutely! This band has to get back to its death metal roots.

So Long
Let's Fight should've been on there. Oh well...this seems like a more mellow album than AGIB, I can't wait!
dennis
looks outstanding. i've been listening to all the live versions lately and i am loving every second. i bet on & on & on has changed drastically and will surprise the shit out of us. i'm glad to see it on there. mastershake
wooooooooooooooooooooooo i was right, let's fight isn't on there... that song sucked, unless they changed the name of it. i bet on and on and on hasn't changed one bit cause it's is great as it is
thisyearsgirl
From nme.com 'Either Way' 'You Are My Face''Impossible Germany' 'Sky Blue Sky' 'Side with the Seeds' 'Shake it Off' 'Please Be Patient With Me' 'Hate it Here' 'Leave Me (Like You Found Me)' 'Walken' 'What Light' 'On and On and On' what light/on and on and on seems like a good closer combo. wilco always does a good job of doing that on their albums, i think. For some reason, I was really holding out for Let's Not Get Carried Away. It's a good ole' rocker. word. i love that song.
Preferred B
For some reason, I was really holding out for Let's Not Get Carried Away. It's a good ole' rocker. I had gotten the impression it probably wouldn't be on the record, but that's okay - it can be like Kicking Television. A really fun song they play live even though it isn't on the album (release of a weird version is optional) and then eventually it can become the title of a live album and/or DVD. Right guys? That's the plan, right? I'm really excited to see songs I don't recognize on there.
quarter23cd
Sorry, Jeff, I've had my heart set on opening with Walken, so I'll just have to rearrange the tracklist on my iPod when I get this.
