virtualreason
There's still time before Norway where they could do Grand Rapids then Summerfest. I loves me my drunken Milwaukee crowds!
MeDave
we should rent a winnebago for the noho show.
Maddie Hope
I'd say it a little differently. There is something about the venue - primarily its location - that brings out the worst audiences. I don't think that people who otherwise are respectful turn into rude audience members at Chastain. I think Chastain draws a crowd of rude, self-centered dilettantes who won't venture into a loud, crowded smoky intown venue for a show. As I said on another board, I hope the band will open the set with a couple of noisefests to run off some of the social attendees.I love the venue but the crowds can be a bit rude... At the Neil show some guy hit me with something yelling "sit down"...The price I paid for the seat and I ended up over on the grass by stage left, tho some true fans were kool in sharing thier food and table, waiting for the rain to pass... It would be so much better for the boys to play the Fox or even the Tabernacle, thank goodness it isn't Lakewood, I really ain't a fan of that venue... but i'll be at Chastain either way... Charlotte too... (if i gotta road trip, then i gotta ) Hey JT would ya maybe play the VBC center in Huntsville again? That was worth the drive and a fun time... always Athens (i'll be more careful this time) Hey there is the centerplex (??) in macon too... (just wishful thinking )Thanks for coming this way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlotte too... (if i gotta road trip, then i gotta )Â Â Yeah, the Fox is BY FAR the best thing in Atlanta. Apparently, Chastain is the only venue in Atlanta that is bigger than the Fox/Tabernacle/Civic Center but not as big as Philips Arena/Lakewood Amph./Gwinnett Center. Wilco's only other option, aside from playing a 1/4 full 20,000 seater, would have been to do a "half-house" concert at Philips, but that's still 10,000 seats. Â The best scenario is for all you fans within a few hours of Atlanta to buy tickets. Every seat occupied by a true fan is one less seat available to a yapper, so please make the roadtrip. leatherman
Chastain is hands down the worst venue in Atlanta but I'll certainly be there. The volume is typically pretty low since the amphitheater's right in the middle of a neighborhood. Glad there's not a Chicago date listed, though. I bought tix yesterday to lollapalooza and I'm really hoping they're there.

jimtweedy1977
I thought for sure they would be playing Charlottesville again this time around, maybe in the fall at the Paramount. In any case, I'm itching to get out of town, so I think I'll be going to the Red Bank show.
ms. yvon
some of these southern dates are coinciding beautifully with my scheduled bonnaroo road trip! WOOOOO!! see you kids in atlanta, charlotte, and maybe davenport, too!  wendy--that indy date is the first night of bonnaroo. darn the luck!

nutop
I'm surprised that they picked Ovens to play at again.. I figured after the god-awful crowd there was last time, they probably would have shunned it for all eternity.

entropy
Hey Everyone, This might seem like an idiotic question, but is there any sort of email-notifcation or anything for when the Wilcoworld presale starts? I remember a number of people talking about an email they got when the SBS stream went up, but I haven't seen any place how to subscribe to it...and basicly if I miss the Toronto show Again, I'm going to have to simply give up on life, board up my windows and cry until I pass away from my own sweltering failure as a person. Thanks! SarahC
ok, if ms. y is gonna be there i guess i have to go to Atlanta. i'll try the pre-sale, and if i can get close seats then i'll def. go. it looks by the seating chart that some seats are very far away from the stage. i hate that. Â hopefully there won't be many talkers.... Â and i always wonder if i'm remotely related to the namesake of the place... hmm. Â it would be cool if the rest of the southern dates happened to list the ryman. that venue is freakin awesome.
jdmel
Am I allowed to bitch about no Chicago dates? No? Well what the hell anyway, where are the chicago dates? I dont wanna have to go to the Quad cities for anything but passing through to get to school

Chastain's actually a pretty small amphitheater and none of the seats are bad when it comes to seeing the band. Hearing them is another, more important, story, though.  Of course, all this gloom and doom posting is probably us being overly cautious. I'm sure once we're there and wilco are onstage, nobody will really care too much about the venue.

Edie
The dates/locations do not work at all for me. They are midwest when I will be east, and south/east when I will be midwest. Â I will be patient however. Tapers, do not neglect your god-given duties and make some kick-ass recordings!

When those are announced, there's usually also a link to sign up for the super-secret password to get in on those. And it'll more than likely be discussed here, so just keep checking back.  OK, and I just found this http://wilcoworld.net/mailinglist/index.php?action=subscribe but I don't know if that's the official sign-up dealie. I don't think that's how I signed up for the e-mails...   I was thinking of you when I saw Count Basie. Wilco in Red Bank just sounds so right!!!Question for friends and neighbors of the Count Basie Theater: whats's the deal? Reserved seating, GA? Good atmosphere? I'm intrigued...
