Analogman
Office Tally link She has a bunch of clips up there - including the promo for Parks and Recreation (which is what became of The Office spin-off project). I thought last night's episode seemed like two or three episodes stuck together. I would have stayed with the Dwight safety officer storyline, without the Jack Black movie and/or the roast scenes. I thought last night's episode seemed like two or three episodes stuck together. I would have stayed with the Dwight safety officer storyline, without the Jack Black movie and/or the roast scenes. Last night did have some great lines. For those who tivo'ed and have not watched yet... Dwight telling Stanly he was not responsible for stuffing him with butter and sugar for all those years. Pam telling Michael that if his unit was an Ipod it would be a shuffle. Angela hiding a cat in the drawer, then tossing said cat into the ceiling. Michael and the armless legless dummy. Dwight harvesting organs. I do agree it was disjointed, but it had a lot of funny schtuff.
Analogman
That part with the mask was great.
Gobias Industries
The episode really would have been the best ever without the film guru subplot. It really didn't add anything to the story. I've only seen one or two of the deleted scenes, and they seriously would have fit better. To be honest, it felt like they were forced to include these guest stars and it was the only way to do so. It was extremely painful to watch Jack Black snog Cloris Leachman. I really had to turn my head away at that.
Moss
That part with the mask was great. Oh man did that part make me laugh. Favorite part of the episode.

They definitely didn't need to insert so many of of those Jack Black segments. Nevertheless, they did provide some funny moments: Black pleading with Leachman while she rode the stair lift was pretty priceless.
John Smith
Kevin and the vending machine was priceless also. I wonder if they will fill the machine in future episodes or leave it empty.
Analogman
Yes, that was the other part I liked. It was a great opening - but then they stuck that other junk in there as it went along.
IATTBYB
I like how they are slowly developing David-Wallace-Slowly-Coming-to-the-Conclusion-that-Michael-Scott-is-an-Idiot-but-Can't-be-Fired story line. I predict that by the end of the current season Wallace learns that the Scranton office above-average performance is due to Jim, thus setting up a monumental clash between Jim and Michael. I predict that by the end of the current season Wallace learns that the Scranton office above-average performance is due to Jim, thus setting up a monumental clash between Jim and Michael. I think he's always known that Michael's an idiot. He's a good salesman and his office performs reasonably well though. I don't believe that Jim has ever been recognized as a big performer on the show... he's actually kind of a slacker..he's just sane. Several of the story lines over the years have centered around some of Michael's redeeming qualities. One is that he is a good sales guy.
Gobias Industries
After more thought, perhaps the pirated movie parts are supposed to serve as an allegory to the plight of Andy? I mean, the way he reacted to the cheesy "Reverse the button!" segment implies that Andy identifies with Jack Black's character. Of course, I'm not insightful enough to be a movie critic. This doesn't redeem the plot from being fairly (or entirely) worthless to the average Office-goer, but perhaps it means something more. Can we get a movie guru to chime in on this? Also, can we stop using these?
tugmoose
Can we get a movie guru to chime in on this? Also, can we stop using these?Absolutely. I mean, you're not covering up the fact that Jim is secretly in love with Dwight.

Sir Stewart
"Black woman." Really good episode. The brown and gray balloons, 1/4-filled...

Analogman
At least it was not the train wreck the last episode was. Although, I hate it when Kevin is not in an episode. Last night we got a lot of Creed, though. Lecture Circuit (Pt. 1) Deleted Scenes Another deleted scene from Stress Relief.
Sir Stewart
Creed calling Andy 'Jim' was great, because I do that myself while watching sometimes.Oscar's "Ahh, my desk is over here..." to get away from Andy was brilliant.

redpillbox
Thought last night's episode was hillarious...the part with Pam and the Mounds bars had me in tears. Client: What's a Narddog? Andy: This is a Narddog.
Gobias Industries
This is what I call a return to form. My favorite part was with Jim and Dwight trying to prepare a party.
John Smith
When Dwight was reading Kelly's personnel file the whole time there was a silver balloon the size of an egg hanging down from the ceiling right next to his head.

Gobias Industries
Opinions? Super awkward with Pam trying to take over the lecture (the new Pam is interesting...don't know if I like it as much as old Pam), but there were some good moments. The Angela cat-licking was by far the best moment.
