Guest Jules
Zack Greinke for President!I'm going to wait and see if he can do it for more than 1/4 of a season before I start blowing him. He's still a sub-500 career pitcher.
quarter23cd
According to the Baltimore Sun, Matt Weiters will walk across the Inner Harbor on his way to the Yard on Friday. (yes, its a little weird to be this excited about a catcher, but this dude appears to be a stud...and, really, what else have we had to cheer about this decade?)
The High Heat
According to the Baltimore Sun, Matt Weiters will walk across the Inner Harbor on his way to the Yard on Friday. (yes, its a little weird to be this excited about a catcher, but this dude appears to be a stud...and, really, what else have we had to cheer about this decade?) I saw him in a game last year. He's one of those athletic guys who is just bigger than everybody else on the field. The hype is legit. The O's need someone like this.
Sparky speaks
What's with all the hip injuries the past year? Lowell, Utley, Aroid, Delgado and now Myers? I think there are a few others as well.....Don't remember ever having so many. Hell the last one I remember was Bo Jackson and he hurt his playing football. Maybe steroid connected? http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/05/brett-myers-may-need-hip-surgery.html

Prolly cause the board was down most of the day. It was a thing of beauty, I am glad Z owned up to it and isn't appealing. But it couldn't have come at a worse time. My cubbies are in a death spiral right now.

It was a thing of beauty. And how about four people (two catchers and two managers) getting thrown out in the 7th inning of the (Red) Sox/Twins game? Seemed like the ump had a pretty short fuse ... tugmoose
Even if you hate the Mets, how can you not pity them after this? Insult to injury has to be that lame toss to 2nd base - at least toss it home.

bjorn_skurj
After a shit year last year, Castillo really busted his ass to get back into shape and was doing not badly, until he went and did this. It's not his fault that the Mets have been disappointing this year, but that play (barring something even worse or the Mehts winning the World Series) will be emblematic of the 2009 Mets season and will haunt Castillo until the day he dies. Gobias Industries
Yeah, the Indians are doing piss-poor (in the AL Central. The AL Central, really?!?!?) and I still feel more sorry for the Mets, if only just for that.
