NL VOTING: Two Brewers are leading are in All Star votes. Ryan Braun leads all OF with 663,164 votes, and at shortstop, J.J. Hardy (403,269) has a slim lead over the Marlins' Hanley Ramirez (365,746).

At every other spot, Brewers are running shotgun. This includes second base, even though Rickie Weeks was lost for the season a week ago with an injury to his left wrist.

Bill Hall 3B is second to David Wright.....

Brewer fans are stepping up to the polls.

Anyone interested in doing a midseason fantasy league? I'm open to head to head or roto. Just need more to satiate my hunger.

Zack Greinke for President!

I'm going to wait and see if he can do it for more than 1/4 of a season before I start blowing him. He's still a sub-500 career pitcher.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Matt Weiters will walk across the Inner Harbor on his way to the Yard on Friday. :worship

(yes, its a little weird to be this excited about a catcher, but this dude appears to be a stud...and, really, what else have we had to cheer about this decade?)

I saw him in a game last year. He's one of those athletic guys who is just bigger than everybody else on the field. The hype is legit. The O's need someone like this.

What's with all the hip injuries the past year? Lowell, Utley, Aroid, Delgado and now Myers? I think there are a few others as well.....Don't remember ever having so many. Hell the last one I remember was Bo Jackson and he hurt his playing football. Maybe steroid connected?

Remember the Belle of the (Base)Ball?

Belle_Albert_bal_990805.jpg

Career-ending hip injury kept writers from having to debate his Hall of Fame worthiness.

Dude, with all his faults, averaged 103 RBI per season in 12 years.

Did I miss it? Didn't see any comments about Zambrano's tantrum yesterday. It was a thing of beauty.

Prolly cause the board was down most of the day. ;)

It was a thing of beauty, I am glad Z owned up to it and isn't appealing. But it couldn't have come at a worse time. My cubbies are in a death spiral right now.

Forgot about Albert, but I wonder about his roid-rage like actions.

Even if you hate the Mets, how can you not pity them after this?

I hate the Mets, and normally wouldn't pity them because of this ... but it was against the Yankees, whom I hate even more, so in this case, yeah, I pity them.

After a shit year last year, Castillo really busted his ass to get back into shape and was doing not badly, until he went and did this. It's not his fault that the Mets have been disappointing this year, but that play (barring something even worse or the Mehts winning the World Series) will be emblematic of the 2009 Mets season and will haunt Castillo until the day he dies.

You may be right, but I hope he is able to cancel it out through solid play. Even though he's a Met.
