AL MVP at this point, I would say.

Hunter was a leader until he got hurt. Morales and Crawford will get votes, too.

I really think it's Tiexiera's to lose. It is why I hate sports writers so very, very much.

who else roots for teams that are the absolute worst every year, and do you care past the middle of June when

our teams are usually 15 games out.

as a cubs fan, i say yes. except the year they lost the first 12 or something, which destroyed my enthusiasm for the entire year.

there is always next year (without dusty).

edit: 1997 cubs started 0-14. ouch. sosa hit only 36 hrs and glanville and mcrea rounded out the outfield with an additional 10 hrs.

Weirdest game of the year was played Sunday when the Phils beat the Mets. Brad Lidge finally got a save, but had to rely on an unassisted triple play by 2B Eric Bruntlett to end the game.

I just watched that here. Whose holy burial ground did the Mets piss on?

I don't know, but I am for the firing of Manuel, Minaya, the training staff, the Hospital for Special Services and the Wilpons.
