MattZ
is it possible to hate a record which contains "Gold Heart Mountain Queen Directory," "Tractor Rape Chain," "Peephole" and "Queen of Cans and Jars"? Well, like I said, I eventually came around, but sure. I thought it was a whole lot of fuss about nothing. I heard those songs, but I didn't hear them. And I definitely understand why some people dont like GBV. I am just glad that I saw the light. cryptique
I don't listen to GBV all that often, but every time I do, I wonder why I don't listen to them all the time.

And you know, we probably could listen to them all the time. Seeing as how PROLIFIC Pollard is and all.
tinnitus photography
i just never liked the songs. it has nothing to do with his wig. the songs, or the production?  because if anyone can write a tight, hook-filled three minute rock n' roll journey, it's bob pollard. embiggen
while interpretation of word meanings isn't as cut and dried w/ certainty as mathematics, i think Cryptique is correct and it boggles my mind that others can't grasp this.  werd

Doug
"Artist Who Was The Most Prolific But Not Necessarily Prolific During The Years 2000 through 2009"Â Obviously, Merzbow was the most prolific but not necessarily prolific artist this decade. That goes without saying.

brianjeremy
How about the Mountain Goats or John Darnielle? Pretty solid releases in the 00's. Pollard still gets my vote, but Darnielle is a solid second. Â The Coroner's Gambit 2000 All Hail West Texas 2002 Tallahassee 2002 Ghana 2002Martial Arts Weekend 2002 (The Extra Glenns) We Shall All Be Healed 2004 The Sunset Tree 2005 Come, Come to the Sunset Tree 2005 Get Lonely 2006 Heretic Pride 2008 The Life of the World to Come 2009 Â And many ep's and singles. luke79
This poll mentions nothing about quality control as I downloaded GBV's entire discography and not every song is a diamond. But nonetheless, Pollard records more than all of these guys.
