is it possible to hate a record which contains "Gold Heart Mountain Queen Directory," "Tractor Rape Chain," "Peephole" and "Queen of Cans and Jars"?

Well, like I said, I eventually came around, but sure. I thought it was a whole lot of fuss about nothing. I heard those songs, but I didn't hear them. And I definitely understand why some people dont like GBV. I am just glad that I saw the light.

I don't listen to GBV all that often, but every time I do, I wonder why I don't listen to them all the time.

I think the same thing. And you know, we probably could listen to them all the time. Seeing as how PROLIFIC Pollard is and all.

while interpretation of word meanings isn't as cut and dried w/ certainty as mathematics, i think Cryptique is correct and it boggles my mind that others can't grasp this.

Jason Martin of Starflyer 59 who also had the Brothers Martin project and a project with his wife.

He consistantly put out an album and/or EP pretty much every year for a while.

Kevin Barnes with of Montreal put out quite a bit of music, too.

He released an album with an EP attached a couple times.

"Artist Who Was The Most Prolific But Not Necessarily Prolific During The Years 2000 through 2009"

Obviously, Merzbow was the most prolific but not necessarily prolific artist this decade. That goes without saying.

How about the Mountain Goats or John Darnielle? Pretty solid releases in the 00's. Pollard still gets my vote, but Darnielle is a solid second.

The Coroner's Gambit 2000

All Hail West Texas 2002

Tallahassee 2002

Ghana 2002

Martial Arts Weekend 2002 (The Extra Glenns)

We Shall All Be Healed 2004

The Sunset Tree 2005

Come, Come to the Sunset Tree 2005

Get Lonely 2006

Heretic Pride 2008

The Life of the World to Come 2009

And many ep's and singles.

I should have just said "most interesting".

Hell, even Amy Winehouse could have tacked up some votes. Or Brtiney Spears.
