Lucero Night 1 of a 3 Night Reidency in Cambridge

Hmm last time I did that was Port Chester*

1st time there for Wilco loved the joint

I'm going Sunday.  Not familiar with Lucero, but a friend suggested it so I'm in.  Couldn't believe they're doing a 3 night run, I never really heard of them.  Been listening on Spotify, remind me of the Truckers.  Should be fun.  You going all 3?

Must have been great if you went back. Is there an opening band? What time do Lucero come on? Let me know if you go Sunday too, I'll be there.

Likely pulling the Trifecta* yep they are a fine band

Very Talented a bit just a bit too much whiskey but the whiskey tainted voice and tight picking plus brass and piano all blend...Very well together

IMO

Pmd my contact info

Got there and chilled in the lounge for a drink after. In walks Ben the lead singer and sits next to me good talking with him

Subjects covered Spider Stacey of The Pouges..

Wilco Lucero Loves Wilco.. I told him Ive noticed that there are crossover fans from both bands.

If you get the chance check them out, wonderful Live uhmm just like our guys..

Daughtry....don't ask.

I'm really psyched, as this is the first chance I've had to catch her live.

It was a great, fun show.  Hitchcock came out and just started playing and he did everything from Soft Boys (Only the Stones Remain) to Egyptians (My Wife and My Dead Wife) to stuff from his new record.  Very quiet and respectful audience.  He had his usual banter  - his first words were "Hello, I'm British."  He explained that having us watch him tune his guitar was an important part of the show because it showed how six independent strings could be made to sound good together as a group.  Tanya came out and played his favorite song of hers (Untogether)  and her favorite song of his (which I didn't recognize).  For the encore, she came back out and they played two more songs together and then for the finale they walked through the crowd playing Are You Experienced.
