Bosco
Wow, I just called the museum box office, since I also am a member, and just for everyone's information, the price of a single ticket for members is $113. No additional fees, but still, $113. For anyone else who has a membership, apparently you have only until 5PM tomorrow (Friday) to buy at this price. After that it's the lottery system, where all bets are off in terms of price and availability. Yeesh--I know it's a benefit and all, but still, this is going to turn out to be a very expensive little jaunt. I haven't bought my ticket yet. What to do, what to do. . . . Bid $3.
Dmada
Never heard of this venue before. Got center orchestra. Anyone seen a show there?Ive seen a bunch of shows there going back to my childhood. It is one of the best venues on the planet and perfect for wilco. You are in for a treat.
The Inside of Outside
Never heard of this venue before. Got center orchestra. Anyone seen a show there?Wilco played there on their "Evening with.." tour, almost exactly 2 years ago to the day - 4/9/10. Great place to see a show, and a great setlist: http://wilcobase.com/event.php?event_key=1286If I remember, it is a pretty big symphony-type hall, as far as symphony-type halls go. wallflower77
In for Cooperstown! I was thinking about a visit that way this summer, and now I have a good reason to go!
Sweet Melinda
The Hartford venue is awesome. One of my favourite Wilco shows was there. MassMoca auction thing is a gamble for sure. I really want to go but I'm not going crazy with my bid. It's a tough call. Any ideas what's up between July 9 and 14? I'm thinking a quick trip up for Ottawa Bluesfest would fit into their schedule well.

thingfishp
The Bushnell "A Night With.." is one of if not my favorite show so far. We scored Section C, row G on the center aisle ofr this one - woohoo!
linclink
Me & Johnny Yuma are headed to Camden/Philly, Cooperstown & Rochester!! A show a week, at week's end, for three weeks running. And I've decided to hit both Mass-MoCA & Hartford shows too..figured if I was in for penny, I was in for a pound. I have an old friend & bass player who I hadn't seen for years, & we'd hooked up on facebook... I found out he & his wife have seen Wilco 8 times I think it is, and they live right near Mass-MoCA & were raving about the fest & all. I got them two tickets for Cooperstown & they really recommended trying to come in to the extra small venue show there (1,000 capacity). I found out that the membership ($65) & ticket fee ($113) were both tax deductible, so I took the plunge today & am going.A good friend I went to school with opened up a Community Acupuncture Center in New Haven, CT so I thought...hmmmmmm...an easy shot for two more gigs...I think this can be done...I'm going to try & upgrade my seating for the Hartford, CT show tomorrow (have a single 6th row seat, just on the side) & get two more (hoping my friends do decide to go- they aren't sure, as it's a week night, but I'm gonna offer to pay half for letting me crash there), but if they don't, then I could have two extras- so I'll keep folks here posted if needed...we..shall..see. Queen Amaranthine
Just keep on riding that non-stop Wilco train you're on! Second that! Even though it might be pricey, it does sound like a good benefit for MassMoCA. I'd go if I could, but right now it's not economically or distance-travelistically (is that even supposed to be a word?) feasible. Those of us who can't go can live vicariously through fellow VCers, though. I'm in the same spot deciding whether to go to the relatively-less-glamorous-than-MassMoCA Sioux City show in July. Of course, this place isn't objective when it comes to deciding whether or not to see a Wilco show! The answer here is always YES! What a wonderful support group. I'll weigh that with my family's schedule and my friends' eyerolling about the whole thing.
worldrecordplayer
So is this it for summer shows? No more to be announced? As of yesterday, the Shows page on Wilcoworld said "more shows to announce", but I see that is gone as of this morning.
Magnetized
I'm not sure where's the best place to post this, so I'm doing it here. I've got my ticket for Hartford on 8/1 and I really want to do Mass MoCA on 7/31, but haven't got my ticket yet. I'm planning to fly into Providence on 7/30 and rent a car so that I can get to North Adams that evening and spend the next day enjoying the town before the show there on 7/31. Then I would leave the next morning for the drive back down to Hartford for the show on 8/1, and fly home from Providence on 8/2. I'm planning on doing all this alone and would LOVE to find someone to share expenses. Anybody interested? It would involve two hotel nights in North Adams or nearby, plus the cost of the rental car. I do have a friend I'd be staying with in Providence on 8/1. I'm really on the fence about making this expensive trip on my own if I can't find someone to share the expenses, so if any of you have any bright ideas I'd welcome them. I'm planning to cross post on the How to Fight Loneliness forum. (How appropriate!)
cc3078
I was able to grab 2 tickets during the presale yesterday for the July 2nd show in Rochester. I don't know if they ever release any statistics on how fast the pre-sale tickets get sold but I'm pretty sure everything was sold out within 4 minutes or less. I felt lucky to get the two that I had. Amazing.

I'm planning to cross post on the How to Fight Loneliness forum. (How appropriate!) I just PM'd you. I was inspired & encouraged by Johnny Yuma (whose seen them a bunch) to take a solo jaunt this last year to Detroit to see them after a friend from Buffalo had to cancel. I think Johnny said he'd done a couple (two?) such trips on his own & had a great time. I loved my lone road trip, & it was an amazing show!! I highly encourage you to consider still going no matter what. I think you can find cheap enough lodging via lots of online options, but more about that later...I'm actually now going to both of these shows on my own as well, but...I'm staying with friends, & going to the show with friends in both places...be glad to meet up with you, just to meet up.I can suggest both priceline.com for super cheap hotel stuff & checking into youth hostels (http://hiusa.org/)...if I can help you out, I will....you can message me here...Also regarding Mass-MoCA...you can join as an individual member for $65 & then get a ticket before the auction for $113. Both the membership & ticket price, because it's a benefit, are tax deductible, so it takes a little of the sting out of it.I call Mass-MoCA at 413-664-4481 & go to the option (think it's #1) to get tickets, the box office folks can get you your membership & your ticket instantly. I just didn't want to take any chances with the auction & it's a great cause. The auction starts Friday April 13 at 10AM, but goes until Mon. April 16 at 10AM, so I'd be they aren't drawing winners until Monday, but I'd get a move on if you want to get a membership & get tickets for sure. I was also told that if you bid around the actual ticket price ($113), or slightly more ($120) that it betters your odds. They are taking a certain amount of very low priced bids, a certain amount of medium ones, but when those get filled it'll only be the higher bids....so low bids can win, but like I said I just didn't want to chance it. Good Luck!!http://www.massmoca.org/membership.php

Bosco
So I've got tickets to Hartford, Cooperstown & Burlington (I can't believe they left presale open until this morning). I have a bid in on for MassMoCA, I was gonna bid 3 dollars and 63 cents, so I could actually see Wilco for the price of a soda and a pack of smokes, but it's a good cause so I figured I throw in the 100 in twenties ;^) Hopefully they will still have tickets for Newport in 2 weeks (next payday).
