It's funny how these songs have a bit of "Jeff History" to them. I think he sang Peace, Love & Understanding with Golden Smog & I know Uncle Tupelo covered Dead Flowers. Not really making any point here - I guess I just a had shitty day today and really wish I was there tonight. Would love to have heard And Your Bird Can Sing. Hope this gets recorded but I suppose there would be legal issues if Wilco sold the performance like they do with some of there other shows.

You are correct. Wilco also did Color Me Impressed, and UT butchered Cinnamon Girl once or twice.

I saw Cheap Trick and Blue Oyster Cult both opening for Aerosmith over the last few years, and they kind of sucked. I suspect Wilco's covers of Surrender and Don't Fear the Reaper were better than what the original bands can deliver these days...

I'll be psyched if they break out even one of those classic rock tunes in Tampa next week!
