I also tried for 12/15 but after filling everything out, I got a page with a sold out message. So it may have just sold out.

Did you try for 1 or 2?  I think it's a 2 ticket limit throughout the stand.

I'm really happy some VC'ers are getting tickets.  Especially happy that I'm one of them!

I got a pair this morning for the 18th and then another pair for the 15th this afternoon, when I just sat there and reloaded my credit card info about 50 times and it actually miraculously went through. I pretty much spent the entire day stressing and trying. I'm so drained! I was shaking so badly this morning while entering my info that I could barely type. THE STRESS, I SWEAR.

I'm glad people are getting tix now. The whole process was a mess. They need to plan better when they know there's going to be such a high demand.

Really? I trust tried and it said sold out once I got to the "finish" button. Hurm.

I tried the same thing.  No dice.  It let's you input all your info then says SOLD OUT after it tries to create your tickets.  Super bummed about these shows.  I was at work when they released the higher priced tickets in the afternoon, so I missed that boat.  Going to call the Santa Barabara box office tomorrow morning to see what the best I can get for that show is.

Got tix for the front setion of the balcony in Santa Barabar.  Checked out some pictures of that place and it is a seriously beautiful theatre.  It will be a fun spot to see Jeff do his solo show.  Glad I got at least one show on this solo jaunt.  Now to cross my fingers and see if I know anyone who can get me into at least one show at Largo...

I will be a Santa Barbara, as well. Except for the drive, it should be a good venue. BTW, here is Largo's fb post about it:

Hey Everybody,

Thanks for your patience with us in resolving the ticketing situation for the week of Jeff Tweedy shows coming up.

The duplicate sales are being taken care of and those that feel they were robbed of tickets were the ones who unfortunately had either timed out their carts by logging them in far too earlier, or you were simply one of the many that were too late as all tickets went nearly instantly (which was a first for us too). Those of you who have any further questions please contact us at LargoNews@gmail.com, Thanks! Looking forward to an amazing week of shows!

I emailed them with my complaint and they wrote back saying I would be on a 'wait list' for any duplicate tickets that get sorted out. If still interested, you may want to give it a shot.

WOW, I don't know what show you were at, but the Jeff show to close the first Solid Sound is probably my all time favorite Wilco related show ever and this is coming from someone who actually saw Uncle Tupelo.

I'd imagine that was the largest crowd that Tweedy played in front of - solo, correct?  I have this show on my hard drive, but never gotten around to listen to it.

I don't know what the largest crowd was, I do know the field wasn't as packed as it was for the night before (Wilco), the following week he was at Philadelphia Folk Fest which had a nice crowd, he has also played Farm Aid solo, that's a pretty big audience.

Gotta think that Farm Aid would've been his largest solo performance, though I wasn't there so I don't know how it would compare to LouFest or other fests. I mean, it can be kind of hard to gauge crowds at events like a fest in terms of how many people he actually played in front of. He also played solo at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in SF a few years back, but that's such a sprawling event (from what I hear) that who knows how many people actually watched his set?

Anyway, also wanted to post in this thread that the good folks at Largo sent out a note today to apologize for all of the ticketing snafus and to say that proceeds from all of the shows would be donated to a charity. I think that's pretty cool. (As you can read, apparently tickets were always supposed to be $50 for the show, so they gave a link for people who accidentally paid $40 to donate an additional $10 to the charity.)

At any rate, here was the missive:

Hello Everyone,

We are so excited that Jeff Tweedy chose Largo for his upcoming December shows! It will be an early Xmas for so many of us fans. All of us here thank you as well, for your patronage and support for this and our many other fantastic shows.

There is also an apology that we owe to each of you for what was a difficult, confused, and mangled buying experience when purchasing your tickets. In short, there were a number of technical and human errors that have propelled us into a very embarrassing situation concerning ticket sales.

One part of this situation involves the actual ticket price. The price for these shows is $50 per ticket. This has always been the price contracted between Jeff Tweedy and Largo. We made a typographical error when creating the show and an email notice that we sent out about the upcoming sale, and listed the price as $40 per ticket. The error was spotted and, we thought, corrected before ticket sales commenced on Friday morning. It was not until the crashed sites were being repaired right at 10 AM that it was brought to our attention that tickets were indeed selling for $40. As a result of our error coupled with the technical malfunctions that morning, there were a small number of $40 tickets sold for each show.

We, of course, assume complete financial responsibility for the difference. We have also felt inspired to donate Largo's proceeds from each of the four nights to our favorite charity. The Littlest Tumor Foundation.

It is also, however, our contracted responsibility to make every reasonable effort to ensure that each ticket is purchased for the same $50. To that end we have created a special $10 coupon available to those ticket holders that paid $40 each. If you choose to, you may purchase a coupon and know that those proceeds as well will be donated by Largo directly to The Littlest Tumor Foundation, an organization very close to our hearts.

We are very sorry for this weekend's confusion, and look forward to earning your good faith and seeing you here for even more great nights!

Thank You,
-Largo
