There's an incredible book out called "Reckless Road," that was done by Slash's childhood best friend. Basically, the guy was a compulsive scrapbooker and started documenting Slash's music career going back to 1981. He collected every flier for every show, took photos at every show, kept all reviews, etc, I mean way way before GN'R and on through the release of Appetite. It's an incredible behind the scenes look and is loaded with very early photos, backstage photos, photos with groupies, the works. The book basically follows a chronological order of all the shows and the stories are told thro

Adding to the never -ending IG list. I heard it over dinner at a Shoney's in Mechanicsville, Virginia this past Sunday.

They both need to be played more often that's for sure. -

As tempting as it is, I'm just not financially able to right now. I'm still holding out hope for some east coast love this summer. -

Great to see so many familair faces in those photos. Sounds like a wonderful, wonderful time was had by all. Looking forward to running into some of you somewhere this summer, Greg -
Springsteen's rapidly approaching 60 and still hangs upside down on microphone stands and plays sets at least as long as Wilco, sometimes longer.

Did anyone see McCain getting booed while speaking in front of the Lorraine this morning? You could tell that he was shook up. Rightfully so, he was part of the Arizona legislators that refused to acknowledge the King holiday. He was doing some backpeddling about this, and the crowd was having none of it. Great moment. To bad Chuck D never made it to Arizona to take care of McCain like he sang about in that great song.

The Dash 7 plays you saw were likely Tweedy solos. It is without a doubt one of the top 2 or 3 least played songs.

Much appreciation from where I'm sitting. I've got most all of the 70's releases on vinyl an denjoy them all, though "from Souith Carolina to South Africa," is a fav. He's had a rough go of it the past decade or so. He's been covicted on multiple drug charges and has been in and out of prison. A few years ago in DC, there was a small, Free Gil Scot Heron rally. I wish I had some pictures to share.

unreleased neil & crazy horse album to be released
LouisvilleGreg replied to Vacant Horizon's topic in Someone Else's Song
Let's hope this is for real. Anyone listen to much Crazy Horse sane Neil? I've had their 1972 album, "Loose," in high rotation on the turntable lately. There are some ridiculously good country rock tracks on there. "Being There," reminds me of "Loose" in places. If you haven't yet, check it out. -
Off of the topic a bit, but does anyone have any recent numbers for album sales on AGIB or SBS. Is AGIB anywhere near gold yet?

"the little kissssssss off of the glass" Why not pull for Memphis, all of the other #1's have won many championships. Of course Davidson could go ahead and win and we'll all have somebody to cheer for. Does anyone doubt that Curry could score 45 points if needed for the win today?

Valiant effort by Louisville, too many poor decisions down the stretch. I'm not sure it's ever happened. He'll be of no more consequence in the NBA than Laetner, a second stringer at best.

Would it be boring if Arkansas were still alive and winning by 20 points? I think were getting ready to see a great game, that will come down to the wire. Go Cardinals.

I cracked the top 5 in the standings. After Louisville stuns UNC tomorrow, I'll be flying solo at #1 I'm sure.

You can go ahead and watch yourself for that potshot at Cheap Trick. Those first three albums are power pop classics. -
This kid Curry is totally ridiculous. I will not pick against him again. I sense a Danny Manning type of vibe going on here. Unbelievable!

Damn, that West VA loss hurt me, in both these brackets, and my ones for big bucks. I've got Louisville wiining this game over the Vols and they're looking good right now, up 8 with 11 left. Go Cards!

Isn't that a convenient thing to happen while you're on vacation? Are you sure Courtney didn't work this out in advance at the Green Mill that night?
