  1. Can Bright Eyes be considered a "supposed great band", though?
  2. I swear you must be their manager of something... They seem to never make it down to the South suburbs -- would try to catch them if they did.
  3. I think my favorites are In Dubious Battle, Winter of Our Discontent, and Travels with Charley.
  4. One of the few Steinbeck books that I haven't read, yet. Haven't read any Steinbeck in a long while - need to revisit him, soon.
  5. Thanks, Cold as Gasoline.
  6. I wish they (Jagger/Richards (w/Wood) were writing music -- Wood's 2010 record was pretty good.
  7. Same here --- we are trying broken egg shells and coffee grounds to combat it - the tulip hatin bastards.
  8. Some more Weir praise. http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/culture/2014/04/grateful-for-bob-weir.html?utm_source=tny&utm_campaign=generalsocial&utm_medium=facebook&mbid=social_facebook
  9. I haven't read it in a long while, but isn't there some info in 'The Wilco Book' on AGIB?
  10. Wouldn't mind hearing about the show -- doesn't look like I will making it up there for the show.
  11. I was wondering what California Chrome had to baseball - Curve came in 2nd - so you were close.
  12. Does anybody know why Trevor Dunn replaced Hoff?
  13. Toews and Keith talk like they lost 6 in a row ---- gotta love hockey players. Go Hawks!
  14. Well that was fun. Thanks.
  15. Has anybody seen the Kicking Television footage? (I have not.)
  16. An emerald ash borer could take care if it too - Wrath of Khan style......
  17. I saw a bit of the Lady Ga Ga set at 2007 Lolla show before she started her world dominance.
  18. What campgrounds do you typically go to in No. IL, NOJ? ((this is a non-related ash borer question-- I am looking for some nice campgrounds up here) We typically head down to So. IL when we go camping. We did stay at the Miss. Palisades a number of times and Apple River Canyon State Park once.
  19. I am not too, too worked up about, either --- just wondering. Usually I find out before hand if I could bring outside wood --- campground policies seem to vary.
  20. Sometimes it does seem to be a money scamming racket to bring more money into their campground ---- but I lost a tree to the borer (the tree was pretty much dead, when we moved in) and my parents neighborhood was pretty much wiped out. My parents' neighborhood is right off a highway and the town attributed the highway (the suckers attached themselves to trucks and spring for it once the drive by, I guess) to the invasion. I guess the developers, back in the early 70s, planted the ash trees, because they are a cheap tree to purchase. I grew up in the neighborhood - it does look pretty pitiful
