  1. Yeah, maybe instead of Marriott they can get the Rod Stewart fella to sing and maybe Ronnie wood to play Marriott guitar parts.
  2. I do remember hearing that the record isn't one of their best, which is probably why I never gave it a listen.
  3. Apparently Ian doesn't want a payday. http://www.uncut.co.uk/ian-mclagan-dismisses-any-chance-of-the-faces-reuniting-in-2015-news
  4. I guess I need to listen to a Replacement record, so I can have some skin in the game. I think my wife has Don't Tell a Soul on cassette, in the 17 years that I have come across it our collection, I never bothered to listen to it. It seems that WXRT talks about their last show on a monthly basis - we get it - they "just walked off the stage".
  5. I was in college when Twin Peaks came out - watch many episodes in an altered state - will be good to watch it again.
  6. Goddamn sleep addled brain - we were talking about Twin Peaks (being released next year on Blu-Ray)
  7. I read that they are putting out Northern Exposure sometime next year on BluRay --- I look forward to watching it again via Netflix, especially since my wife never watched it the first go around. Not sure if they are going to have the same issue with the original music. Did a quick search, now I don't find news of this happening - must be confusing it with something else - but I swear I just talked about this with the wife last week - strange.
  8. I don't remember ever having a dream that I was flying - that kinda sucks.
  9. True - but some front row tickets are $850.00, so the Midas Touch wouldn't help, unless I use the power to pick a winning Lotto ticket. That too.
  10. Invisibility for me - I can deal with a nose pick --- I would use my powers to sneak into high priced or sold out concerts.
  11. DKV Trio (even bought my ticket in advance - to help prevent me from wussing out)
  12. I am planning on another day trip there to see the Stones exhibit. My 4 year still talks about the Pink Floyd Wall' monster that we saw there when we went there for the Dead exhibit last December. I think it's kinda of pointless to get upset about who or who doesn't get inducted (my humble opinion of course).
  13. It's the simple things -- live version of War on War.
  14. Use to get three weeks, before the housing market tanked (I'm in the trades) - small family business - working our way back up, though. The sucky thing is my wife gets 4 weeks - the last two years, she used her vacation time doing side jobs in her field- which pay great - but we miss our trips over yonder, oh well. As long I get a pay check and treated fairly, I never cared what my bosses did or made (as long as they were straight up and honest with me and the rest of the employees).
  15. Personal days! - I'd put up with all your bosses qualities if I got personal days, sick days, or vacation days. My boss is okay.
  16. Thanks for the reviews all - I have been playing the reissue a lot, really enjoying it. Speaking of Tim, I saw him at Lincoln Hall Saturday morning - wanted to ask him if was still working in DC, but didn't get the chance.
  17. We are having that this year, too. A veggie and a meat one. First time having everyone over for Christmas Eve (finally have the space).
  18. Thanks for this - I will try this when I get home.
  19. Just checked out the VU DVD reunion from the library --- I always heard pretty negative things about this release, so I never bother to listen or watch it --- it's enjoyable, though. Flat, a bit, yes - but it's kinda cool to see them all on stage together. I think Sterling plays pretty good, too - sad he would be dead a couple of years later. Cale does seem the most detached.
  20. John played solo - two tunes: Guthrie's "Ease My Revolutionary Mind" and 'It's Just That Simple" - Both played nicely. I thought "Revolutionary Mind" was an interesting choice since the audience consisted of mostly 2-8 year old's. After playing he came out into the audience and hung out with (I'm assuming) his wife and daughter, before heading back up to the stage for the "This Land is Your Land" - he brought his daughter up on stage with him. Each performer sang a verse and John sang my favorite line of the tune: "As I went walking I saw a sign there And on the sign it said "No Trespassing.
