Guess we still young at heart - I still enjoy GA tickets when we have the opportunity. The stage at Thalia is at a decent height, too -- the few times I was there with my wife (who is on the short side) - she didn't have any issues seeing the stage. I have never sat up in the balcony, there, though. Glad the new record will be released prior to the tour.

I am not much of a fan - but WXRT (Chicago radio station) simulcasted a Jack White concert -- I happen to have the radio on and really enjoyed it. Checked the date on it was on 7.23.2014 - sure didn't seem that long ago. Quite the set list. I did see a Raconteurs show at a Lolla - they were okay, but not memorable.

No exact cause, yet - but death was not suspicious, according the BBC.

Man - that sucks. Really enjoy the Cranberries.

Yeah - I 'see' you over there every now and then - pretty informative site.

Don't know where else to put it - i guess Wilco seen while on a different site - don't remember seeing the pic. before. The youngest one seems spectacle of Ronnie.....

Great show by St. Vincent last night -- the whole concept worked great. Canned music - yet it seem pretty spontaneous. The whole production was done very well. Was not expecting it - but the opener - the married jazz duo Tuck & Patti were equally great. I heard that there was movie played prior to the show - I guess Annie decided to change things up this leg and I am glad she did - they were both incredibly sweet when talking about Annie and themselves -- they have been playing together for close to 40 years --- Patti said once you get past the 1st 15 years it all great -- you just got

^ That's good -- I don't think CRB ever sold out there before - at least both times that I saw them there were not sold out.

Had the Kavalier & Clay book sitting on my shelf forever - need to read it.

Must admit - the Magpie shows I heard didn't do much for me, either -- guessing Chris's new band won't either. Much prefer the brothers just doing their own solo things. Though I understand why they are doing it - guessing they get a better draw playing Crowes tunes. Also, it is nice that Ford is back playing with Rich and it's too bad that Eddie passed away.

He playing a Thalia, which is great - but probably will still pass. Much rather see CRB. Esp since the tickets are a more than CRB.

Chicago's Lolla has evolved a lot over the years, too - it seems. If someone would had said in 1991 when I was at the first Lolla that Macca would be a headliner someday - i would have laughed.

They must have had a blast writing it ---- perhaps the only time in history that a lawyer didn't bill for their time (other than pro-bono gigs) Link to Trump's letter - not nearly as fun to read... https://apps.washingtonpost.com/g/documents/politics/read-trump-lawyers-letter-to-michael-wolff-and-steve-rubin/2695/

Glad we are out of the extreme cold, because we have been without power since 1:30 am --- had this happen last week, it would have sucked much worse.

I enjoyed Coco -- my kids (5 and 8) enjoyed it, too. Definitely has nice animation and the story line is pretty good, too --- not too cheesy.

Bannon is sure in a pickle with his own Breitbart backers - it seems like he may have gotten over his skis a bit. But of course his financial backers may be saying one thing to the press (and Trump) and another privately. If pushed out, I am sure Bannon will end up starting yet another propaganda wing for the Republican party. The party is going to be so spread out that a 3rd party seems inevitable.

Since Trump has sued or at least threaten to sue every person that he has come in contact with - I am assuming the publisher has done their due diligence knowing that this was going to happen - Henry Holt & Company has been around forever.

Listening through the latest New Year's run - 28th sounding pretty good, esp. the 2nd Set. Now on the 29th - really enjoy I Always Wanted It This Way - guess it's a Page tune - I think I listened to the Big Boat record once - but not familiar enough at all with any of the tunes. No Men In No Man's Land (another Big Boat tune, I guess ) was highlight on night 1, too ---- it's nice that they are still writing some interesting tunes.

It's a little late for Melania to take Wolff out, though. But, I am guessing Melania is fine with book coming out -- bet she can't wait to get out of the White House.

Checked out the below from my library -- nice book. Narrative was a bit lacking. Kirk didn't hold back though. He had few shots of members of the Crowes jamming in the studio with members of ABB - he didn't have nice things to say about the sessions - music wise. He also wrote that George Thorogood can't jam. Apparently Zakk Wylde was they only guitarist who could fly out to the show on such short notice and that it was horrible. Some of the cooler pictures are after from after hour jams at various clubs after show or on a off day.

Haven't seen it yet - but I guess there is documentary out regarding Grant's LSD sessions - North By Northwest came out during the period of time he was using LSD. Never knew that he used LSD, before I read about the doc. Regarding psychedelics - I have been enjoying the Hamilton's Pharmacopeia show on Vice --- I ordered Sling to watch the MLB playoffs - but haven't gotten to cancel it yet.

If that's the case - guessing the record company is kinda pushing things. Guessing Out of Time is their other largest seller. I''m in the Que to get the 2 disc version Automatic from the library.
