  1. I didn't think hating each of these team was still a thing. Both teams seems like it a nice balance of well paid veterans and younger guys -- unlike many of the previous Yankee/Dodger teams (esp. Yankees.) I guess people tend to hate large market teams.
  2. Yeah - that's what I am thinking. As stated, parts of this show was missing from the vault - perhaps they used the recently received Betty stash to fill it in. Maybe the liner notes will shed some light.
  3. Guess it would be cool to have a Yankee/Dodger world series. Old School. It's great to see Todd Frazier producing and having fun --- for the past few years he had the fun down pat - but not the producing.
  4. Yeah - Bear was released that summer -- but according to the Relix article - 8/25/72 is a Betty Board. I always assumed a 'Betty Board' meant it was recorded by her -- perhaps that's not the case or the Relix article is incorrect. https://www.relix.com/news/detail/the_betty_boards_are_now_in_the_grateful_dead_vault Read more: https://www.relix.com/news/detail/the_betty_boards_are_now_in_the_grateful_dead_vault#ixzz4voLqK4Mo
  5. I guess it was recorded by Bear, but it was part of the recent Betty board retrieval. So she just had the board, but she didn't record it? I guess I am confused. from dead.net This complete show was recorded by Owsley "Bear" Stanley, has been mastered to HDCD specs by Jeffrey Norman, and features photos by Michael Parrish, tour notes from the road, and original illustrations from Dave Van Patten.
  6. He even looks like a fuck-wad --- I never heard any of there music, either - but I suppose that is not the point. You would think it wouldn't be too hard for the dude to find a consensual companion after a show -- but like my wife tells me - most of these types don't get off on the whole consensual angle of the things - hence they do what they do...
  7. Agreed with production - Don Was can't even mildly under-produce anything - I was a bit afraid when I saw that he was involved, but by 'Was-Standard' - I thought its sounded okay.
  8. NIce interview with Devon Allman - Gregg's kid. http://artsatl.com/devon-allman-talks-grief-memories-late-fathers-southern-blood/ I have listened to Gregg's last solo record and I think it is pretty good. I have not been much of fan of his solo output. Also watched All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs & Voice of Gregg Allman - typically I do not enjoy these type of releases, but this one was pretty good, also --- much, much better than the Dear Jerry: Celebrating The Music Of Jerry Garcia.
  9. Yeah - I should have wrote, 'besides Joe' --- Lackey didn't even look too confident.
  10. Curious to know if anyone didn't think that Lackey was going to give up a home run or at least a hit to Turner?
  11. Yankees were down 2-0 in the Cleveland series and I figured they were done. I like this Yankee team. Verlander was incredible, yesterday.
  12. Plus Dylan was 24 in 65. Imagine that - 24 - with all those tunes already under his belt.
  13. Yeah it does suck - I have been getting Sling for October the last few years.
  14. Great news for one of my local brewers. Great place and great people. Prior to opening their establishment, they were (and still are) members of a home brew club (www.bossbeer.org) that I hang with. Great news for them, too. http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/daily-southtown/opinion/ct-sta-slowik-hailstorm-medal-st-1013-20171012-story.html
  15. Per Rolling Stone: (I think Dylan was one of the first ones to make a statement - before he was 'really' dead.) “It’s shocking, crushing news,” Dylan said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “I thought the world of Tom. He was great performer, full of the light, a friend, and I’ll never forget him.”
  16. It was a good one -- nice way to strike out the last two for the win, too.
  17. "Ali" is nice, interesting choice. Didn't realized that the Tedeschi Trucks Band performed that tune.
  18. This is why I don't gamble - the Yankees are looking great. Cub's bats better start doing something real quick.
  19. Ozzie Guillen still wants to manage - to one Sox to another. Can you imagine, Guillen in Boston...
  20. Didn't Dusty pull out every excuse when he was with the Cubs, too?
  21. Regarding Dylan and Don't Look Back (65-66 in general) - I think drugs and him being surrounded with a bunch with a bunch of yes-men had a lot to do with his ass-holeness. (I agree his comes off as a asshole). After listening to the live 66 box set - it's a wonder he survived - he was a mess.

    A.M. Deluxe?

Yeah - a Being There deluxe would be really something.
  23. Think it may be the below that you are referring to --- I didn't catch Petty saying that - need to re-watch it. http://10point1.blogspot.com/2010/10/really-truth-is-just-plain-picture-bob.html Transcript Bob Dylan TIME Magazine Interview — Documentary “Don’t Look Back” ————————————————— Dylan: You gunna see the concert tonight? TM: Yeah. Dylan: You gunna hear it? TM: Yeah. Dylan: Okay your hear it, see it, and it’s gunna happen fast and your not gunna get it all, and you might even hear the wrong words. You know? And then afterwards.. See I’m.. I wont be able to talk to you aft
  24. There may be a few floating around about Turner hitting one's wife, too. Of all the things that I have saw/read/heard since Petty's death, his talk/interview with Garry Shandling has been my favorite. Never saw it prior to his death. They had to be stoned to the gills or as Petty said at the end: "Two farmers on acid" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIvNe569Q9g&feature=youtu.be
  25. yeah - a bloop hit is a hit. Cubs definitely got lucky. The starting pitchers on both sides have been stellar.
