  1. There's a good question. Froggie, Mystic, any ideas??
  2. Oh man, that second set of encores is the shit!
  3. I agree with you for the most part. However, I live for the unexpected. I can't imagine seeing most of a tour when 2/3 of the show is set in stone. Even if the shows aren't tight as hell, I'll take 'ragged but right' sets everytime.
  4. Yes replacing Tony Kaye w/ Rick Wakeman King Crimson replacing Ian Wallace w/ Bill Bruford The Warlocks (pre-GD) replacing Dana Morgan Jr. w/ Phil Lesh The Airplane replacing Signe Anderson w/ Grace Slick
  5. Imo Oh Mercy is one of Bob's 8 or 10 greatest...not to mention one of THE greatest 3am albums.
  6. Grateful Dead---Alpine Valley Music Theatre, East Troy WI 6/27/87 AUD The 20th anniversary...I was there. God I miss those guys when Summer rolls around.
  7. I dunno about DMB, but the Jerry Garcia Band has done numerous versions of The Maker. Good stuff.
  8. Tug, as the man who is VC's most prolific thread starter when it comes to hair-raising political debate, I cannot express how disappointed I am. Who got you? Can you tell us...or is it not safe?
  9. Hey darlin', can i buy ya a couple of drinks? You must be a Libra....love your nails...
  10. I guess this was played live a little more than I thought. I have a couple of versions, the 12/30/98 Fillmore show is a good 'un.
  11. Whoa. A quick glance at WilcoBase: Why Would You Wanna Live--just the 4th time played since '02. I probably would have had to change my drawers if I'd have been there to hear that!
  12. Yes, this goes far beyond the 'occupational hazard' idea. Many times (whether it's RXR, wrestling, or whatever) people who have had an eye on fame & fortune find that once this has been achieved they don't have the personal resources to cope with what being a star can do to their lives. The fact that professional wrestling has evolved from pretty much a regional type of celebrity to a $100 million per year business only complicates the matter. Although I was a fan of the Bruiser/Ox Baker era as a child (and haven't been a real 'fan' for many years) this whole thing has left me feeling ve
  13. 4:17 A.M. ? I didn't realize the Night Crew had gotten so large!
  14. I've always been a prog freak, so I'll say Floyd, Genesis, Yes and of course Crimson.
  15. Oh man. . I haven't followed WWE since my son was really into it a few years ago. This is very very sad indeed. Best wishes to the relatives.
  16. I've been able to see all three guys by themselves over the years, but sadly Zep's last shows in America occurred when I was just 15. I'd still like to see this happen (along with millions of other people).
  17. Hey Rocky, Chris...I've been away from the tube today. If you're online could you tell me wtf's going on? Thanks, Scott
  18. I've been to a few of these in Indy. Always to see Steppenwolf. The shows (being free) attract a really raucous crowd of drunks, but if that doesn't bother you go for it! Thorogood is a really fun time if you've never caught him.
  19. Phish-- Murat Theatre, Indianapolis IN 6/24/94 AUD
  20. Hey jc4prez, I was just reading an interview w/ Phish lyricist Tom Marshall & the questions were all submitted by people on their message board (PT). Very cool. I think this would be a great idea!
  21. One of the first songs I ever learned to play. Still a fave LP.
  22. Wow. That is effin' excellent!
  23. If you get to meet Glenn remind him that Rush's "All The World's A Stage" album was recorded at Massey Hall. Have fun!!
