I remember having this discussion last year: how does this Piston team stack up against the Thomas/Dumars group of the early '90's? I think this team has had a remarkable run. Lou, we could really use you over here. This is no joke, the schools here have nearly 2/3 of the students on free or reduced lunch. Not to mention the social worker & special education areas being dreadfully understaffed. It's a daily heartbreaking experience.

I read somewhere once that the English Rock Royalty went to see Hendrix play in a club somewhere in London the day after Pepper was released & he opened up his set with the title track. And, of course, blew everyone's minds.

I don't know if it's available, but there is a documentary that came out in '87 called "It Was Twenty Years Ago Today" that examines "Pepper" & the year 1967. It's possibly the best thing on the Sixties that I've ever seen. Highly recommended.

I have my favorites (of course) that I would like to see in the rotation, but what I would really like to hear is just a different show each night. I've beat that horse here many times but I'll say it again: If I have no clue as to what is going to be played, I really don't care what they play. The element of surprise is one of the main reasons I love to go to see live shows. People would be more inclined to go see multiple shows (which certainly wouldn't hurt ticket sales) if they knew the contour of a show could change nightly, rather than seeing virtually the same setlist over & over.
