A bit of hyperbole there. Organic and natural is a better option for sure, but can we produce enough affordable food that way to feed all of us? Are the services provided in the hospital today equal to what they were in 1957? Have you seen the (secular meaning here) miracles performed in the NICU? The technology and innovations made to make that possible isn't free. Is 4 days in the hospital in 1957 equivalent to 2 or 3 days today? IMO, one of the reasons health care is so expensive is that so few of us see the real cost. We pay our pittance of a co-pay and let our insurance, pai

Ummm... The operating system would take up some of the available memory.

Most of the people here can't seem to do it either. http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/27263-rank-the-wilco-albums/page__st__700

In the case of the iPod, isn't part of that .3 gb loss due to the OS?

Direct link. Lest anyone confuses Muammar Qadhafi with Jeff Tweedy.

Freakin' Yankees. Carlos Gomez saves a grand slam and we still give up double digits.

Was Not For the Season originally released?
uncool2pillow replied to Wayne's Pet Youngin''s topic in Just A Fan
Excellent song, but not sure how it would've fit on YHF. They've played it enough live that it's become a significant part of the Wilco legacy w/o being on an LP. -
Sorry to hear that, Lynch. I just listened to the Ashes of American Flags from the video of the same name. Take care!

If Rummy manages to show sincere contrition, then yes. I can't imagine that he would, but you never know. Edit: I vote mostly Republican and I've cut him more slack than anyone else here.

Well said by both of you. Expressing guilt does not exonerate him, but at least he genuinely (imo) expressed sorrow for his actions. Very rare.

Brendan Benson - My Old, Familiar Friend

Agreed. Never listened to his solo stuff, but love Raconteurs. I'll have to dig deeper. -
Being There #6?? To each their own, but wow!

Tribune Co. reaches deal to sell Cubs, Wrigley
uncool2pillow replied to Central Scrutinizer's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Anyone else think that's funny? The Tribune reports a sale of something they own citing an anonymous source?? -
I agree w/ a lot of what you say here, cryptique. I haven't given up on W(TA) yet. I think a lot of what people have said about SBS here is more true about W(TA). I like Bull Black Nova but it's kind of a Spiders (slight return).

Published Wilco (the album) articles and reviews

I think Jeff has answered questions about Jay with a lot of honesty and grace. He could be very dishonest and overly sentimental. Given that their relationship ended several years ago and that the lawsuit made it somewhat hostile, I appreciate the forthright nature of his answers. -
My feelings too. I think the only way it would work is if you were a rock artist and the song was played at your funeral OR the actual artist who recorded the song played it at your funeral. I was at a funeral a few months ago and someone sang "Amazing Grace" but Michael Boltoned it all up. Many people were moved, and the singer did very well, technically. I was left biting my tongue to avoid laughing at the overwrought experience.

Just googled that. I thought I knew Simon & Garfunkel well enough to recognize all their song titles. Guess not.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/06/AR2009070601197_pf.html He may be more responsible than anybody for the escalation of Vietnam, but anyone who has watched Fog of War knows it's a disaster that haunted him the remainder of his years. If you haven't seen that movie, do yourself a favor. It covers much more than Vietnam. Basically the end of WWII through the Cold War. It's an important historical document.

Frost/Nixon. Excellent! Didn't even know Sam Rockwell and Oliver Platt were in it. They usually make anything they're in better.
