I think this Favre crap is a movement by the Minnesota media to have something interesting to write about. We have QB issues, but he's NOT the answer.

Somebody needs to go and read some of the archives before questioning a-man's musical knowledge...

Anyone who's seen Bee Movie knows that this video is all about oppression. Just another case of the man exploiting the labor of hard working honey bees.

Took my kids to Ralph's World at the Englert Theater in Iowa City yesterday. It was great. He urged all the kids to come to the front of the theater for a bit of a preschool mosh pit, the later on stage. Highly recommend you take the kids if he comes near you.

hey computer experts -- i help with firefox
uncool2pillow replied to hardwood floor's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Yeah, meant Google chrome. Found the solution on a Firefox help file, I think (i.e., it's fixed it so far). I right-clicked the firefox icon and chose "run as administrator". That's all. We shall see. -

I have started getting a message when I open Firefox it says something like "Firefox cannot install this item because of a problem with Chrome registration". I have Apple Chrome installed but rarely use it. Is there a connection? Should I uninstall Chrome? Uninstall and reinstall Firefox? I'm guessing some add-on or extension isn't working, but I won't identify which one. -
I'm not one for these kind of moments, but I thought it was pretty damn cool. The cynic in me (90% of me) says we'll find out she was lip synching soon after her first CD goes platinum.

I think there's another DFW thread, but this is the first I found. Thought some of you, esp. Good Old Neon would find this interesting. As I haven't read Infinite Jest, I didn't read the article, but a friend forwarded it. The Royal Tenenbaums and Infinite Jest

I think those are the first dates I've even seen from him above the Mason-Dixon Line. Would be nice if he headed west, or better yet, reunited the V-Roys.

Maybe the worst! In Iowa, people like my dad say "warsh" instead of "wash".

Is the correct pronunciation "sherbert" or "sherbet"?

Ghost Town last night. Pretty funny. It was probably mentioned somewhere before and I missed it, but hearing "Please Be Patient With Me" near the end was a pleasant surprise.

John Cale vs. Lou Reed (post-Velvets)

It's political message is quite dated 20 years later, but I still love New York. The sound of the guitars is brilliant and I love Rob Wasserman's bass. -

Columbine - by Dave Cullen. Eye opening. I can't believe it'll be 10 years on April 20. If their attacks had gone as planned it would've been deadlier than Oklahoma City.
