  1. I am going to re-watch Synecdoche, New York very soon (just checked it out from the local library).
  2. If I'm reading this right it's Steve Lukather from Toto. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/5901114/peter-frampton-on-beatles-tribute-a-lot-of-not-so-dry-eyes
  3. This is perfect in every possible way. http://youtu.be/otRr23Brir8 And a good essay about Fallon. I've got no problem with sarcastic or mean humor. But Fallon has really grown on me the last few years. Excited to see what he brings to 10:30. http://www.npr.org/blogs/monkeysee/2014/02/08/273552036/jimmy-fallon-exits-stage-just-right
  4. Love to Sue and the whole Tweedy family.
  5. When Pat Robertson calls you crazy, you've got some serious fucking issues. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/02/05/pat-robertson-implores-creationist-ken-ham-to-shut-up-lets-not-make-a-joke-of-ourselves/
  6. I've engaged a young earth creationists high school acquaintance quite a bit on this subject for the past 24 hours and it's only served to depress me.
  7. They want to dictate educational policy and speak loudly. Rational people must make our voices heard.
  8. I didn't catch that implication, but I was busy having my own debate on FB and did not hear every word. I am a Christian and a believer in evolution. I would like to hear a debate between Mr. Ham and a faithful Biblical scholar who doesn't believe that Genesis was meant to be literal, scientific truth.
  9. I've heard that argument and I vehemently disagree. To not debate would be interpreted as being afraid or having something to hide. I doubt too many minds were changed last night, but if any were, I have got to believe it was on the side of science.
  10. Not a direct quote, but his main premise of "observational science" vs. "historical science" was an absolute joke and lost highway did a good job summing it up.
  11. It was a joke. It wasn't a debate. Ham was basically this guy:
  12. 1) Day in the Life 2) Revolution 9 3) Abbey Road Medley (maybe cheating here) 4) Helter Skelter 5) Get Back
  13. Why did you change get rid of your Beyoncé-assed avatar. Also iOS auto-corrects the accent on Beyoncé.
  14. The Beatles are objectively better than Bob Mould. But I didn't get to see the Beatles in 1st Avenue with a few hundred people at a time in my life when I was most emotionally connected to their songs. Ergo, the Beatles are better than Bob Mould, but Bob Mould is my favorite.
  15. Wow. Just like you telling us what conservatives think.
  16. It's always been political theater and the agenda setting is, IMO, bullshit. Before radio and TV, the State of the Union was mailed to Congress. We'd all be better off if we went back to that routine. I'm all for transparency, but sometimes it leads to pandering. This is why I am adamantly opposed to televising the Supreme Court.
  17. Yep. 5/89. Changed my life like no LP before or since. Now let's get back on topic.
