  1. I'm trying to make the connection here, but I'm not seeing it. Is the school expanding the Vic seating capacity as a science fair project? Are the current ticketholders going to be mysteriously shrunken on March 10th? I'm sure there are several of us who would love to grab some gold circle tix for Saturday... hope this works out!
  2. ^ +1 Going for the third time in June in Louisville. Pretty incredible show. (null)
  3. A mini rock and roll road trip next month - Springsteen in Atlanta on the 18th, and Andrew Bird at the Ryman on the 19th.
  4. I'm gonna side with the shoulder on this one. It's all about ME, and whether or not I can get to a Wilco show on less than a 1/4 tank of gas, and still get home by bedtime. Pandering should begin and end at home, as in MY home. So, yeah, Louisville or Cinci, or right here in Lexington would be just fine. So there.
  5. I'd call that more of a tour-ette.
  6. On the brighter side, there are several under $75 already. Nobody's making any money on those. Except Stubhub, of course. Helluva business model there. The whole thing really is getting out of hand. I'd vote for $100 gold circle next year, or even $150. Surprised it was only $75 this year. I haven't been for a couple years, but I don't think they overpriced / undersold any of these.
  7. Surely there's a Polaroid of this somewhere. (null)
  8. I have to admit that I was surprised to see a budget proposal of $3800 billion with a $1300 billion deficit today. A full third of our spending is borrowed? No, I don't have the answers but that's just not a good thing. (null)
  9. It's not a show you can join mid-stream. More like Lost than X-Files in that sense.
  10. One of my goals for this year is to go to more concerts, and not just stuff I know by heart. I don't do that as much as I'd like. I want to go to 3 or 4 this year of stuff I normally don't listen to or never really heard of. For some reason I can't seem to force myself to listen to something new or off my beaten track on a CD or ipod, but if I can get myself into a concert then it seems to sink in a little better. Not to mention I'm pretty captive at that point. I probably won't be going to a rap concert anytime soon, but I do want to try more jazz or bluegrass or even just more obscure r
  11. Seems to me that Jeff gives a much better "print" inverview than on video, at least on this one. He just seems more awkward and introverted on video interviews, and doesn't come across as the same really bright and articulate guy to me.
  12. All that, and still up at 7AM west coast time? that's some stuff there girl. Happy Birthday Donna!
  13. fun stuff indeed. the part with Nels using sweet pea on the guitar was a little creepy. but the thing was definitely a lot of campy, random, weird-ass fun.
  14. Looks like a palm tree to me, so I'll go with Hotel California.
  15. I have only heard it a couple times live, but I remember that the first time I heard it, I said to the guy next to me "that one's a keeper!" I like it on the record, and I still like it even more live. definitely not on my pee break list or set dropper list (which I do have, btw).
  16. I found that a little peculiar as well. No plans to go, and not really a VH fan, but a peculiar mix.
  17. Jay: Talented multi-instrumentalist Heavily involved with / major influence on production Key figure in delivering a very strong, change-of-pace record for the band Appears to be second most influential person in the band on what they sound like Hair Pat: See above Well?
