  1. i believe recently fan club tickets have always gotten you in early. At least they did at the Dallas gig back in September.
  2. Hay Edie and Kidsmoke lets start a petition with the band to move the kit front and center at least for one tour! BTW there should be a drummer smiliey for us to choose when posting about Glen!
  3. i was wondering when watching Glen beating the drums during the noise part of Via Chicago the other night in Tulsa if there is a method to that madness, and can he ever recreate the same sound each show when the song is played. Or is it just random beating to make as much noise as needed? I love the way he gets the whole kit sounding off and then drapes his whole body across it to silence it.
  4. good move not waiting. it was a bit cold out back with no sign of the band to be found... and i still waited a half hour!
  5. Clay! You have out done yourself with those pictures. I thought your wichita picts could not get any better but then i see your work at Cain's. The band should hire you. Think what you could do if you had all area access instead of having to work with a bunch of fans surrounding you at the foot of the stage. Well done and great detail!
  6. The recording i captured does not agree I just think as tight as this band plays together someone could have pulled up the slack. But the way it looked to me was they were a bit lost during those parts of the song. Although i think they did a great job keeping the song going. God help us if that was a Ryan Adams show. There may have been bloodshed
  7. I thought it interesting someone else in the band did not fill Nils parts after seeing the tech trouble he was having. It would have been cool to maybe hear Mikael or Pat fill in with some keys or even Glen with a improve drum solo in place of the slide.
  8. WOW! according to my tape of the gig this post was made exactly 36 hours from the time the band walked off the stage in Tulsa and the first grovel. That's gotta be close to a via chicago recored. Great first post man!
  9. I was thinking about the quality of this Wilco show in comparison to the other 15 or so i have seen, and i have come to the conclusion that they are the most consistent band i have ever seen live. After every Wilco show i walk out of the venue and i feel something special has occurred. But better than the last show? They all are fucken' great! The venue has a lot to do with my enjoyment at most shows but truthfully Wilco could play in a bullshit corporate arena and still probably give their audience the intimate feel and passion as they do in small historic venues. They are the most
  10. I guess i can leave my rig at home and enjoy the show like a normal human for a change!
  11. i'm in as well as the wife and the rig! can anyone please tell me about the venue seating options? is the whole thing SRO or might there be a few seats or a balcony?
  12. i have been kinda lurking lately... so where is this request list you speak of Ms Y? I would love "When You wake up feeling old" in Tulsa!
  13. Sunday February 10th was the 10th anniversary of the release of this record. And over on one of my favorite bands (of Montreal) myspace blogs, Kevin Barns gives some of his thoughts on the importance of this release. He nails my views on this masterpiece. in honor of the 10th anniversary of the release of one of my favorite and most cherished albums of all time, Neutral Milk Hotel's "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea", i'd like to say a few words

i view that album as a high water mark in music. it's amazing that such a classic and important record could remain as, somewhat, undergroun
  14. i refresh and get still nothing. You may win badu2fan because your entry might be the only one received
  15. I got a email from musicdirect.com last week informing me that Being There is no longer available and my order that i placed about six months ago was canceled. I already have a copy but i wanted a sealed copy in my collection.
  16. Wilco and Tweedy fall in both those categories. does he have a web page that offers his work for sale?
  17. nice work and what a great gift. is it oil or water? thanks for sharing.
  18. IMO it was not so much the line up of the band that rocked and moved the crowd, as it was the new YHF music they were giving us a steady dose of.
  19. i have 12 of the 25 releases in my collection... all in vinyl!
  20. The best live act i have seen all year, and i have seen a bunch. And Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? is a work of genius!
  21. I may be dating myself with this story but back in the day before ticketmaster ruled the earth. For the best seats i had an hour and a half drive to Dallas from my home town to the main Rainbow ticket outlet at SMU. One day tickets for two shows; AC/DC and Queen went on sale the same day. I got there at about 3pm for tickets that were slated to go on sale at 9 the next morning. It was odd back then for tickets for two concerts go on sale at the same time on the same day. But sense i wanted to see both bands it was good for me. i didn't have to make two trips in to the city. What i di
  22. Before i taped this show i didn't realize how fun it was going to be turning kids on to live audience recordings. Although sometimes it seems the parents get the bigger kick with this show. glad you and your daughter liked the recording. dave
  23. hey now... i scored some great Hanna Montana tickets on ticketmaster! I even taped the gig... http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=171654
  24. most airfiar sales fall on monday mornings. right now for me RT from D/FW to Chicago is $190 but i have seen it as low as $139. Flight prices move like the stock market. The olny time i expect them to go above $190 is if i wait until the week before the gig to book.
  25. is't it a $100 general admission show? has it sold out that quickly in the past?
