Whoa, was that a new song, or "You Were Wrong" from the first Loose Fur record?
-
I went there for work in late 2003. I liked Powell's, and a restaurant where we got great sushi, and bar trivia night with Nat.

Why, that woman must be crazy! Who in their right mind would ever follow a band around and travel to see shows like that?!
-
A Sunday, hmm? I would love to see these guys.

Happy birthday, yo. Perhaps a celebratory trip to the World Potato Exposition is in order!

Here's one from Asheville, NC on 5/1/03: http://www.yousendit.com/download/JjvaDHNap3l5TA%3D%3D

Nah, they won both. "Multiple" just means more than one.

I spent a minute trying to figure out this puzzling metaphor, until I realized it was probably a bar.

Super photos, Charles! And I'll join the chorus exclaiming about the breathtaking Africa shots.

Aha, gotcha. I think his site has some photos too. I'm sure it's kind of hard to find a shot of him where you can see exactly what he's doing, but I know people around here have plenty of pictures. Here's one from a solo set in Dekalb:

http://www.glennkotche.com/technical.php Click on the "solo kit" and "wilco kit" links under the photo. Can't get much more detailed than that.

My niece (who almost twelve now) is named Bailey Madison. The "Madison" is there because it was my mom's maiden name, so now my sister is pissed that it's gotten so popular. Is your name actually Crowjack?

Thanks, guys. I'll probably listen to some songs and go from there. I'm no stranger to driving long distances to shows when I have to (Milwaukee is downright close, actually) but I just think this all might be a bit too much since I don't have a previously existing burning desire to see the show.

It looks like she's playing solo. There are also $49.00 tickets, but I assume those are further back in the balcony or gallery, and if I made the trip I don't think that's where I'd want to be sitting. If Gram were singing with her I might even pay $75!

Emmylou will be playing at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee (a wonderful venue) at the end of March. I am not very familiar with her work, though of course I've heard great things. Given that fact, if you were me, would you pay $69.00 plus fees and drive about an hour and a half each way to see this show? Advise me, please.

Holy crap! Thanks to you, I know what I'm getting my dad for Christmas! My wishlist is pretty boring (new bedding, slippers, Aveda products) ... and a turntable. But despite the numerous threads that have been dedicated to the subject in the past, I still have no clue where to begin with that.

Well, there definitely was a new song played right before "Forget the Flowers". But you're right, I'm not sure if that explanation was for the previous song or just part of the joke. I thought they did a nice job of mixing everything up over the two nights. A very solid pair of shows, and it was good to see everyone.

That was Bobb Bruno, of L.A. He's a really cool guy. I went with my mom! It was family night, as the Detholz pointed out early on. Anyway, Mom loved the show. Yay! Of course, when you have your mom along you can't really go out post-show. I'm afraid I don't have the setlist either (I have a feeling bbop will if nobody else) but the show seemed quite long. I don't have any wonderful insights to share, but I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Oh, they played "Future Age".

Here's another review, from a local paper, that, um, features some borrowed material: http://www.thedailypage.com/daily/article.php?article=4884

The Hummingbird dance was in effect in Madison. Also, I'd just like to point out that in Madison the band did not play "At Least That's What You Said" - I don't remember the last time that happened.

I'm especially thankful for when Mart covers the song "Be Thankful For What You Got" by William DeVaughn. Among other things.
