  1. I have been a TW fan for mmany years. A couple of years ago, we remodeled our home, and now we were able to sit on an upper deck, looking over a pond full of bull frogs. When we played various tunes we began to notice that the frogs got really loud in response to certain singers. It was not a fluke, we tested it a number of times. Sure enough, the frogs liked 2 singers clearly best of all. Some songs just did nothing for them. Others were met weith loud reactions. These 2 singers (the preferred ones) only got the very large froggy reactions. Inititially, it seemed certain our very own beloved
  2. Just wanted to say thanks so much to Jeff and Sue Tweedy - and our fabulous hosts for this show. Rick and Nicole and I are still in stun mode, as those of you who have experienced this understand. I was grateful though that I did not say "You're Jeff Tweedy" or make other similar clever remarks. I did enjoy a discussion related to sausage races, something I had not heard about before, but Jeff spoke highly of and suggsted we check it out. http://www.wiscosotasports.com/2009/04/hom...elder-gets.html Nicole and I did the poster and we had so much fun doing it, though much anxiety hoping

  6. I agree that another res would be so wonderful. I believe though, it is like giving birth to children. If you could actually remember how painful it was (in FEB in CHAICAGO) waiting in line for HOURS upon HOURS, you would never consider doing it again. But the joy of the outcome (and the passage of time) actually makes you long fop the whole process to be repeated! Then again, a res show in Aruba in Feb or in Chicago in June..... I know, I am getting old. I wouldn't trade the experinece (cold toes et al. ) for anything - especially meeting some great folks I still get to correspond with ---

  16. My brother-in law and three nephews are "Arabs" (Cathoilcs though) and have been harassed at airports etc. They are the sweetest, most "AMERICAN", kind , hard working, Baseball playing, lovely guys you would ever want to meet. My brother -in-law worked for the navy for many years (as an engineer). My sister is quite "white" and Unitarian. She was an engineer, then an RN for many years. In retirement, she donates more time and efforts helping people than anyone I know. They are not wealthy by any means. Just average hard working people and they all have decent jobs, homes, families. I was so gr
