Just started listening, couldn't bring myself to skip I Might even though I was in a hurry to hear the other stuff. I wanted to hear it in the context of the entire album (or should I say the Whole album). I really enjoyed catching up on all the previous posts and hearing peoples thoughts. I have to say this album is just an immediate grabber, sounds so good. Wish it came out in May so I would have the whole summer to be driving aroung and listnening to it. Whoa, Black Moon just started...

So I saw Deadmau5 at Red Rocks the other night. Tommy Lee of Motley Crue fame was one of the opening acts. Basically Tommy's set consisted of a table with a few laptops and him spending most of the time jumping in the air and pumping his fist with extremely loud siren noises and things going off. Boring as hell. So what exactly is a DJ doing up there in a concert like this? I mean does it take any kind of skill or is he basically just hitting play on a few files on the computer? I didn't even really see any turntables or anything. Can anyone explain what exactly is going on up there?

Animals is easily my favorite Pink Floyd and one I never get tired of hearing. One of those albums I feel like I know every lyric and nuance. I wore that thing out. Just amazing lyrically and musically. Some of Gilmours best guitar work.

The interview in Rolling Stone was a bit depressing. He was clearly unaware that the doctor had told him he had Alzheimers. A colleauge just gave me this one to check out:

I like how a big land mass breaks that shit up before it can get to Colorado.

I had a run in last year with a rattler in Badlands South Dakota. He was all stretched across our walking path and looked to be dead. Of course that meant we needed to try and make sure, so we started throwing things near him to get a reaction. We were pretty convinced it was dead as it was not reacting to anything when it suddenly coiled up and looked at us. The speed of it was crazy. The sound I made was not manly. I might have pushed my youngest daughter towards it to get the hell away, it's all a blur. I'm not proud.

MOJO is pretty free with the 4 stars but I usually agree with them.

I remember doing my doors tour of LA many years ago, hitting Barney's and seeing where they recorded LA Woman. I was taking pictures of the building where they recorded LA woman with waiters staring at me. I can't imagine it was that odd of an event for people to be taking pictures of it but it sure felt like it.

I wondered what a thread named "Wilco" could possibly be on a Wilco message board. To answer your question, I have some old school phone that does not do Apps so can't help you.

Wow, I knew nothing about this and I live here. Does this mean Yellowstone is going big?

Your favorite concert openings, enterances ever?
Moss replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
I saw Ministry to an acoustic set at the Bridge school that included Lay lady lay, Friend of the devil, and the theme to midnight cowboy. It was just kind of cool seeing them stroll out with acoustic guitars and seeing Neil standing on the side of the stage and watching. -
Unfortunately that is the one area of my body that is susceptible to injury. Otherwise I'm invulnerable.

It's streaming at NPR right now, TV on the Radio is also on there. Think I'll give it a listen later: http://www.npr.org/series/98679384/first-listen

Yeah, I'm a bit afraid to play this in the car as I will forget to forward past this song. Not that my 17 and 14 year old daughters have not heard the term at this point... And if anybody implies anything beyond that I'm coming through this computer! -
