  1. Loving this album right now. Sounded great live too.
  2. Easily my favorite Dylan. Full of anger, heartache, and pain. I could see that one hitting you hard.
  3. He certainly would have had a much tougher time after refusing to serve in Vietnam. Didn't Joe help pay his bills for awhile?
  4. Shit, I was just in West Warwick and didn't stop by. I know that's ghoulish but...
  5. Love that No alternative album. Will have to pull that one off the shelf when I get home. That's one of those that is always a nice surprise to re-discover. I remember these guys being on every variety show they had in the 70's.
  6. Dawes and Blitzen Trapper tonight in Boulder.
  7. Just bought tix today to see these guys and Dawes on monday night. I have to give this one a listen.
  8. I'm sure he was being sincere. Just seemed a little condescending or something. Like you can't feel grief about someones death if you didn't know them. I don't know, can't really explain what bothered me about it. Either way, I love Pete. He has guts. He was the only guy that refused to wear the outfit for the Rockestra theme, when McCartney called him a "poof".
  9. Just picked this one up for $1. Looking forward to hearing that Decemberists.
  10. Pete can sometimes come across as such an pretentious ass. There is a video they play at the rock and roll hall of fame of various interviews and Pete is on there. He is talking about all the rock star deaths and says something along the lines of "I know these are your idols and hero's but they were my friends!" Just the way he says it sounds so annoying to me. But I like Pete. I'll take Zeppelin over the who pretty much any day of the week.
  11. I was flipping through channels and saw them on something, maybe Leno? I was thinking what a true artist someone like Yo Yo Ma is. Just seems really cool that he is playing something so opposite of what you would expect from him, and it sounded pretty great. Great to see a classical musician willing to change and do different things.
  12. There are times on stage where it becomes a drag to lose momentum by trying to change tunings. Or having to drag multiple guitars around and switch them out between songs. But I don't see myself buying something like this.
  13. Molly Hatchet - Dreams Ted Nugent - Stranglehold
  14. And Pujols on deck... Edit: Well, there is still tomorrow night Crow...
  15. Just remember, when you draw the wall on a napkin, label it 6', not 6".
  16. I think it's more that people just want an even playing field, the game is so rigged right now in the favor of the 1%. Most people get arrested for doing illegal things.
  17. I don't see how this even kind of equates to a bank knowingly selling toxic assets as Class AAA low risk investments. Oh, and now the banks are forging mortgage papers so they can more easily foreclose on people. Of course these were not high risk loans for the bank, because no matter what happened, they were just going to bundle them up and sell them off to other willing dupes for even more profit. Knowing that no matter what, they would be bailed out if the whole thing fell apart.
  18. It's sad that legitimate anger and protest has become such a focus of derision anymore. People are dismissed as hippies or people too lazy to work for their money or any number of other things, as if there was actually a level playing field for all. The fact that wall street sold worthless investments to the masses, then took taxpayer money from those same people because they were too big to fail, then proceeded to rake in additional obscene profits and not really change how they operate. And not a single person really paid for this completely illegal activity. I have no real hope these prot
  19. Yeah, but then you have to cuddle for the last 13:04
  20. Nigel Tufnel: It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black. Man I love that movie.
