Cake will be on Jimmy Fallon this Wednesday (January 12th).

I'm convinced, I have an Amazon gift certificate just waiting to be spent.

I was told Hosea no longer cooks there unfortunately. Don't forget about all the beer tasting rooms (if you like good beer). There are about 10 breweries in a 5 mile radius of the Boulder Mall.

I certainly don't know anything about this guy and agree it's too soon to blame incendiary rhetoric. But the change in debate has gone from "I'm right your wrong" to "I'm right and your evil", and that certainly could help the unhinged justify their actions.

Sadly that was not me. I would have thanked you again by now!

I certainly loved both nights but the second night was better for all the reasons mentioned and I liked the setlist better. I definitely saw mics in front of the soundboard but just the one set. To answer the earlier question, seats were mostly reserved with a small GA section in back. I think it's interesting that I payed $50 for my seats and someone sitting a foot in front of me in section A payed about twice as much. And we were raised up so to me they were better seats. At least the person I was chatting with right in front of me said that was the case. She had sat where I was the n

Damn, I still have not seen this. I heard it played on VH1 1,000 times but I missed it.

I really liked the Handsome family, saw them hanging out in the crowd and talking to people after the show. I also thought they might join Jeff for something but no such luck. Rennie's onstage banter is hilarious and I can't believe the bass sound she gets out of that "worlds smallest bass". It was my first solo Tweedy show so I just assumed that was about the normal amount of shout outs from the audience but sounds like others thought it was excessive? It is annoying but he does handle it well. Loved his non PA Someone Else's song while they were fixing the sound. Over all I thoug

This is a nice change of pace after all the mellow stuff, 16 songs in 17 minutes or something like that. Classic Punk sound.

Burn by Deep Purple on 180 g vinyl (not my fave so I will probably skip) My Bloody Valentine - Much awaited Loveless remaster and Isn't anything remastered and on vinyl Alligator record 40th anniversary collection - Not sure what the tracklisting will be

I agree for the most part but damn, doesn't someone who loves (Insert your favorite band here) have objectively better taste than someone who loves Nickelback?

She may have wanted Right down the line as well.

It's not going to replace Beach House for me but it's definitely moving up the list the more I listen to it. I have you to thank for that.

I was always grossed out by the Alice in Wonderland scene where she is standing in a big pool of tears. Yick.

I have not heard anything about a release date for Isbell's album. I'm guessing it will be summer sometime? Edit: Justin looks good, like he put on some weight. Maybe rehab helped.

If they are louder than the Judas Priest concert I attended, I really don't want any part of it. Of course that was at the denver pavilion where they have the annual stock show, not the best sound in there.

This sounded really good to me. New J Mascis song with Ben Bridwell backing him up (I'm sure there is a way to embed but I don't feel like figuring it out). J. Mascis - Not enough

Yes, I quoted myself. But I thought I would mention that Jason Isbell will be playing with Justin Townes Earle on Letterman tonight.

I would like to hear "Lake Geneva" by Handsome Family. It's a great song to play around the campfire.

I'm curious about that Rundgren book myself. Does it go back to his working with Badfinger? I remember Badfinger had some horror stories about working with him.

Some good music on the late shows tonight: David Letterman: Justin Townes Earle Jimmy Fallon: The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger Carson Daly: Ra Ra Riot Conan O'Brien: Deerhunter

Nice! I had not heard that. I'm going both nights so that's great news.

I was a bit younger but I do actually remember it. I could have my memories all mixed up but I remember Baker Street and Shadow Dancing (Andy Gibb) battling it out as the #1 song at that time. Seems like those 2 songs were everywhere. I still listen to City to City on occasion.
