Cee-Lo is on Letterman tonight. I don't know if it's a rerun or not but I wonder if he will do this one?

Conan starts tonight! I'm interested to see what he is going to do with this show, seems like he can go back to being a bit more edgy which should help. He is certainly off to a good start musically with Jack White tonight and Soundgarden tomorrow.

I am seeing them a week from today for the first time and really looking forward to it as well. I love that they are playing a really small club. Should be right up close. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the show afterwards.

We used to hike up and cut down the real ones when I was a kid and I thought it was great. Nothing like hiking through the snow and freezing your ass off, getting a real tree, and going home for hot chocolate, great memories. The smell and texture is so different and you appreciate it a bit more. Once we moved to California we starting getting the fake ones but now that I'm back in Colorado maybe it's time to get the real ones again.

I kind of see what you are saying but it's a stretch for me to hear HMD in this song. Halcyon Digest is in my top 10 of the year so far for sure. Really liking it. There is some good video up at Pitchfork right now of some live stuff. Deerhunter on the interface

Me too. I really like Yield and even quite a bit of binaural but I just don't think anything measures up to those first 3.

I wondered where that was filmed! I don't pretend it's been very original. Certainly guy gets hurt, goes to hospital, wakes up to a totally screwed up zombie world is not new. But really they could re-make that 100 times and I will still watch. I love the post-apocolypse stuff.

I really liked "The walking Dead", the new zombie show on AMC. Premier was on Halloween night.

Water makes me pee more than coffee. There are good drugs for osteoporosis now (Prolia). I'm sure I will need miracle ear someday from all the concerts I attend. Doesn't make me want to stop going or wear ear plugs. Giving up coffee would severely detract from my quality of life.

I actually really liked Hazards of Love so I was quite surprised by all the negative comments about it. Really looking forward to the new one. So is this new one not a "Concept" album? I did hear Peter Buck played on it but not sure how much.

He does look like a shoo in for rookie of the year. Nice to have a reason to watch the Clippers this year. With his new hairdo he reminds me of Will Ferrell out there playing.

Saw David Sedaris the other night and he raved about this (and had it for sale with his other books) so I picked it up. Only read one of the stories so far but the writing is really good.

Alices Restaurant has 2: "And I said, "Obie, I can understand you wanting my wallet so I don't have any money to spend in the cell, but what do you want my belt for?" Oh, and no sugar tonight in my coffee... or ever. But cream is ok.

I think my favorite opening band so far has been the Roots, mostly because it's not a band I would really ever get the chance to see otherwise.

I usually got to Pete's coffee given the chance but I like anything strong including starbucks. Never really could tell a difference between regular and decaf but I rarely drink decaf, even at night. Pretty much drink coffee all day long and part of the night so not even sure the caffeine does much anymore. We have Seattle's best here at work which is not too bad at all for free work coffee.
