  1. easy now, big guy. i never said the acts weren't any good... my point was that most of the bands on the bill are bands i've never heard of, and the ones i am familiar with, i'm not all that interested in seeing. & you're right the "wildly popular, completely shit act" i could go see is my favorite band, wilco.
  2. I predict: A bunch of bands I've never heard of/ aren't interested in seeing.
  3. 2 tickets purchased! here's to hoping we get some lineup announcements in the near future!
  4. Does anyone have any info regarding the preferred seating vs GA tickets? Preferred is sold out, and I'm wondering what spots are available for GA ticket holders. The site says that preferred holders get early entry to an area adjacent to the stage. I'd rather be in front of the stage vs adjacent to it... I'm thinking of flying to CO for this, but am hesitant if it means getting a lousy spot. Thanks!
  5. wow. i'm not looking to instigate the nels vs jay debate, but i will say that wilco are at their best with this sort of playing.
  6. I want to add: I really hope some of the video that was recorded eventually surfaces!
  7. Last night was exactly what I hoped it would be. I was against the rail, between John and Pat's mic, and couldn't have been happier. I thought the latter part of the setlist was a bit more exciting and was particularly excited for "Wishful Thinking." Having only seen the Newport show on this leg of the tour, the band seemed way more excited. See you all at SSF3.
  8. I've tried watching The Royal Tenenbaums on multiple occasions, and have never made it all the way through. I started The Darjeeling Limited and made it halfway through. I went to see Moonrise Kingdom in the theatre and think that it was one of the best movies I've seen in a very, very long time. Is this because MK is an atypical Wes Anderson movie? Which WA movie should I try next?

does anyone have a guess to how hectic the parking is going to be? it's my hope to get there around 2pm. can't wait!
  10. I have two tickets, side-by-side, in Orchestra C, row J. Looking for face value, or best offer. I've sold and purchased tickets on Via Chicago in the past! If buyer is interested, I could sell tickets in person at either MoCa or Newport, RI show. Please PM if you're interested.
  11. I just called and paid via credit card. the woman who answered was very nice, and explained that they have been swamped today. She also said that she wasn't sure if we would be getting "personalized" confirmation emails, a generic email for all of those who purchased, or no email at all. Either way, I'm in for 2 tickets for MoCa, Newport, and Hartford, and I can't wait! Edit: I was also told that they aren't shipping tickets--- we just need to bring a photo ID and we will get a wristband.
  12. yep: "Congrats! While your bid was not among the high bidders, your bid was selected in our Wilco ticket lottery, which enables you to purchase the number of tickets you requested to MASS MoCA’s benefit concert by Wilco..."
  13. wasn't a high bidder, but won a ticket via the lottery. i'm pretty stoked! that should be a great space for them.
  14. ahh, i see. well congrats to you! that's probably cheaper than the whole bidding route, and you're still supporting MoCa with the cost of the ticket and membership.
  15. 2 for RI, and 2 in J for Hartford. hoping to get lucky for MoCa as well...
  16. in a fit of excitement i became illiterate. thanks. feeling better now.
  17. that picture is beautiful. i think i'll be going to ny for that one!
  18. The Black Keys/ Arctic Monkeys - 3/7 Dr. Dog- 3/22 Fiona Apple- 3/27 Guster- 4/20 Guster- 4/21 Portugal. The Man- 4/22 Andrew Bird- 5/6 Feist- 5/7 All in Boston! I think I'm most excited to see Fiona Apple.
  19. I never read nonfiction, but the book club i'm in chose this:
  20. I feel like a spoiled Wilco fan when commenting that a 2 hr set is "short." The band was tight last night! Very little talking, which was fine as it allowed them to play what felt like a very fluid set. I had awesome seats right on the aisle in the 4th row. I visited a friend in the back of the floor and was amazed by how great the view was. What a beautiful venue! Awesome poster too, glad I grabbed one and that it made it home safely! Oh, and Josh... it's Tyler, it was nice meeting you! Really bummed that I sold my NYC tix... What's the point of employment when I can't use funds to suppor
