  1. I believe they have yet to work out a deal. I have read that Apple plans to make a surprise announcement on September the 9th, and the speculation is that they are going to announce a deal has been reached to sell Beatles tracks by way of iTunes.
  2. I can tell the difference. I believe that has to with hearing Pet Sounds for over 20 years the way it was, in mono, and then hearing it in stereo with the release of the boxset. Maybe it depends on how familiar you are with something.
  3. I posted the second one yesterday afternoon. I must have edited the post, instead of posting a new post.
  4. I've never seen a source out there anywhere.
  5. That figures. I would think a holiday release will happen. That is the one time of year people are most likely to buy that sort of thing, who would not normally buy expensive box sets.
  6. I've read some reports that Walmart already has the album out for sale. I may try to get over there later and see if it is out. I just some photos of the packaging - it looked pretty cool. Instead of doing it the way Wilco does, I guess there is a card of some sort in the package with a code number on it that you need to download the album they are giving away.
  7. On another board I am, the talk is that the album sounds like some of Jones' recent solo albums. I think I am just not a fan of these "big rock" super groups. That is cool he is doing something though. I have also read that Jimmy is working on some stuff that he is going to release at some point.
  8. Since I don't the record album have Let It Be, I have not seen this for a long time: I think it would have been cool if they would threw in the other albums, such Live At The Hollywood Bowl, A Collection of Beatles Oldies, Hey Jude (the album), etc. Beatles Discography
  9. I remember that film. It was made by VH1. I think I taped it also.
  10. He didn't even want to do a lot of those shows. I didn't list the overseas shows.
  11. Due to the rise of Mp3/FLAC bootleg blogs, I would think one could find it without resorting to that sort of deal. I could be wrong. Plus - I think we went through this not to long ago. Maybe whoever found those tracks then could help out now.
  12. I suppose for me it also has to do with Denny Laine, Jimmy McCulloch, and Joe English. Those guys were great musicians. I say this in regards to the Wings Over America tour.
  13. I wonder about that also. I have noticed that if you go there and buy something the day it comes out you can get it for a low price. But, a few days later the price goes up.
  14. If you do a Google search, you will find them in Mp3 an/or FLAC.
  15. Some of them do. Although, it is becoming a thing of the past. Best Buy carries boxsets, right next to the record albums they are now selling.
  16. I recall when the anthology series came out the cds were everywhere. I even saw them for sale in a supermarket. I may look to see if Walmart or Best Buy has them, as that is the only two places around here where I can go and buy cds (besides Target, which does not carry much beyond greatest hits cds). Of course, when the new Pearl Jam comes out, I will be going to Target.
  17. Go to Google, and put the following in the search box: Wilco Complete Singles. Or do a search in this section (Just A Fan), and you will find the information you are looking for.
  18. I suppose I overlooked your joke, and instead gave you a rock fact. Sorry.
  19. Brother John (1971) To Kill A Clown (1972) Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983)
  20. John often played harmonica with various bands around that time period. That is him playing harmonica on Roadhouse Blues (under the name G. Puglese).
  21. I have, but has been years and years ago. Maybe I should say that Band On The Run and Wings Over America are the two Paul albums I own and thus, am most familiar with. I have never really messed with any of The Beatles solo efforts that much. I have heard a lot of the albums over the years, but never really owned many of them. I suppose the one I do own, and have listened to the most is All Things Must Pass. Maybe someday they will all be available together in a gigantic boxset.
  22. I should say something positive about his post-Beatles career. I think Band On The Run and Wings Over America are great albums. I actually own those two. Wings Over America was also a film. It was called Rockshow. I believe it is out of print - but, it can be found if one looks for it. I have it on DVD. The whole film is actually on Youtube.
  23. I think he is in LA. When I first read about those shows, it led me read the sad news that Exene Cervenka had to share.
