  1. Excellent band on the rise, decide for yourself, you can stream there new record here http://www.myspace.com/goteamus
  2. I maybe jumping in a little late here over the debate of Dylans most recent work, whether some of it is to similar to some tunes of the past. I for one, really love that tradition of writing music, I don't mean just ripping shit off directly which I'm sure he doesn't do, but letting things come out naturally and how it comes out if it feels right, is just how it is. I myself was in an Indie pop rock band about 5 years, with a little succes and many good times, now that's over and I am having a way better time writing for and playin in my good time rock n roll band, it's nowhere near as origi
  3. This is the Jam! "No Scrubs" A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me And is also known as a buster Always talkin' about what he wants And just sits on his broke ass So (no) I don't want your number (no) I don't want to give you mine and (no) I don't want to meet you nowhere (no) I don't want none of your time and (no) [Chorus:] I don't want no scrub A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me Hanging out the passenger side Of his best friend's ride Trying to holler at me I don't want no scrub A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me Hanging out the passenger side Of

  5. This gave me the willies waking up to this story this morning, I
  6. I kind of felt a little sorry for him when I met him, because of his appearence and what seemed to me a bad state of mind. I don't think people should give him shit for boasting a little of his contribuitions and accomplishments, in the end he got a really shitty deal the way he was portratyed in that movie, and the way he was given little recognition for his part in making YHF after the record got a crazy amount of attention, and alot of people where just hating on him instead, that must of hurt like crazy. I dig some of his tunes, but can only take his voice in small doses.
  7. JUAN CARLOS RAMOS! http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endid=158706330 Seriously, this guy is the greatest! 'With you the Saturday Night', 'Sail on','Southern Train' timeless tunes!
  8. I've since picked up 'Brand new me', recorded with philly soul producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, another classic, these are 2 of my favorite records. Dusty is untouchable, if we can choose what heaven sounds like, it would be this era of Dusty for me.
  9. Dylan, Lennon, Harrison it's hard to leave out Elliot Smith without mention, see actually impossible.
  10. I dig him and plan to buy the record reguardless, pm anyone?
  11. I can't believe nobodys made a Trans joke! Tonights the night Wonderin puts a smile on my face
  12. Just picked up her first record recently, hauntingly beautiful.
  13. God bless those Old fuckers for bringing me such joy, well maybe not Jeff Lynne, nah God bless him too.
  14. I don't buy the whole 'it's a grower' thing with records, I think if I listened to anything enough it would get in my head and I'd probably enjoy it on some level. Anyway, I think this record won't get many more spins, but a couple tunes will.
  15. i'm looking forward to hearing that one, I just ordered it this morning.
  16. Just picked up Bleeker and Mcdougal the other day and have listened to it repeatedly since, this is my favorite record in a long long time. Conjures up some of my favorites, Dylan, Johnny Cash, Workingmans Dead era Dead. www.myspace.com/fredneil Even dead old folk rockers have a myspace page.
  17. Just can't seem to get enough of Hall and Oats these days.
  18. Gibson SG 2001 and my trusty MArtin D-15
  19. I've only heard the one tune, and I can't turn the station fast enough, really I'm just afraid of it getting stuck in my head, and then I'll be walking around singing it with little birds pearched on my shoulder, it this happens and you see me, beat the crap out of me.
  20. Theres enough really good tunes on here that it's certainly worth picking up, it's by far the best Farrar record since Trace. IMO
  21. That was sometime ago, I remember seeing his website before, that would be the place to look.
  22. He used to hang out sometimes in my favorite neighborhood bar, I din't know his music at the time, but knew he was a singer/songwriter, we had a few conversations about the business and about music in general, nice guy, great suits and hats!
  23. Hey I dig wilco, compared to most modern bands, to me they maybe the most interesting to follow, but dude, THE BAND! you may have gotten a little carried away there.
