  1. i was stoked enough from the original trailer, but that just put hellboy on par w/ my excitement level over dark knight and iron man. nice!
  2. and w/ a picture of marble madness and abdullah the butcher...this thread rockets to 'greatest thing ever' status once again.
  3. you don't happen to be in a starbuck's downtown do you?
  4. this made me laugh. i think 90% of the folks arguing w/ bobob sound like the college students...or at least as unrealistically leftist as i was in college.
  5. my tribute to human beatboxes. no taping.
  6. don't sell yourself short, mart-in...there will be at least one page of a bunch of folks complaining they can't dial in and/or asking for help for a pre-sale password that doesn't exist.
  7. i'm waiting for the live webcast on rivasworld.net...all of us non-NY'ers can dial in together and comment on each track in this thread via a real-time setlist!
  8. i think carlos alluded to this, but if i listen to each new REM record (or any new record from one of my favorite bands)as it's own entity and do my best to try and take it in w/out any previous work looming over me as i do so...i end up enjoying the experience 100X more whether i end up liking it or not. i really like accelerate...i couldn't say it's their best or on par w/ thier best, but it's a great album (REM or otherwise).
  9. cool, but by all means...if you have anything you'd like to say or quote david foster wallace on, feel free.
  10. i'd contemplate G.G. Allin, but i actually like sam & sooz and wouldn't want to leave them to clean up a after a mess like that.
  11. i don't think so at all, but as j.nick said...that's another thread. NR: The Golden Age of DC Comics: 365 Days Bargain bin at B&N...$9.99. I love the layout and design.
  12. i liked darjeeling, but didn't geek out over it like i did w/ previous anderson flicks. i have this on deck tonight...
  13. i don't know if it's that rare, but my most prized music things is the copy of the mats 'all shook down' i bought used at reckless records for $5...noticed once i got to my car it was autographed by westerberg and stinson.
  14. Watched an absolutely brilliant Toho sci-fi adventure film last night via Neflix... Latitude Zero Written by the same guy that did 'Them'. So much fun. I haven't checked, but if this never got the MST3K treatment, it should have.
  15. people always say i look a lot like biggie smalls...can we go outside the rock genre?
  16. they may have lost in a heartbreaker, but i like what i saw yesterday. fukodome, indeed.
