I'm a little surprised that Mariano Rivera got into the HOF unanimously. I assumed that at least one voter would either continue the stupid tradition that no one should be unanimous or decide that he wasn't worth because he was a relief pitcher.

One of the favorite shows that I attended.

As am I. Though I agree that he turned Moonlight Mile into too much of a dirge.

I can't remember the exact question but Jeff basically said that people always want to talk about the tension between them and why UT broke up and focus on the negative aspects of the relationship. He spoke about how he looked up to Jay and learned a lot from him and particularly how patient Jay was with him.

I really enjoyed it. I don't think he had great rapport with the interviewer and I suspect that they only met a few hours before the show. She also didn't seem to understand that people want to hear Jeff talk and not her. (And to be clear, I know she had a really tough job and I don't think she was terrible.) I read that Eric Gagne (remember him?) noticed something in Kimbrel's motion that was tipping his pitches and alerted Cora. He looked pretty good last night.

I don't like the fact that Kimbrel has gone from a lights-out closer to being the reincarnation of Mitch Williams.
