It's about a 20 minute walk from the North End to Charlestown/Bunker Hill, and there is pretty much only one way to go - take North Washington Street to the Charlestown Bridge. Turn right on the other side of the bridge to go to the USS Constitution or take a slightly less sharp right turn and go up the hill to the Bunker Hill Monument. The walk is OK. There are nice views from the bridge but there can also be lots of traffic.

Saw Neko last Thursday night in Boston and, as always, it was great. It wasn't that different from other recent shows of hers that I have seen but it was a fun night. She played a lot of stuff from Middle Cyclone and a couple of songs I didn't recognize. She didn't introduce them so I don't know of they were covers or new songs. Her voice sounded great (except for a couple of notes which she acknowledged were off) and her harmonies with Kelly Hogan are sublime. Her band was sharp and the banter was funny. Couldn't ask for more. The opening band - Lost In the Trees - was interesting.

I love WL/WH and the Velvets might be the only one who do it for me. I also love all four of the Feelies albums but I can appreciate your point. Talking Heads come pretty close, if it wasn't for True Stories. That might be an interesting related thread - bands who put out one stinker of an album that otherwise mars their legacy.
