  1. Some Birds Having Been Is No Way to Be Let's Go Rain Kamera Jesus, Etc. Remember the Mountainbed
  2. 77 year olds need a long time between gigs to recover! 4-5 days between each gig even in same city.
  3. I was about 15 rows back in the center – crystal clear sound during conversation. Acoustics during the music section were fine – not great. The vocals seemed to be only coming out of speakers on the left side of the room, but it didn’t seem to make much of a difference. It was cool to see Jeff’s name on that marquee and also on the sign within the theater (where they usually display the film’s title) – better than had he done it at the Vic for instance. Realized this was the 3rd Wilco related event I’ve had at the venue after seeing I Am Trying to Break Your Heart and Ashes of American Flags
  4. I thought it was a fun conversation and well worth $30 once you include a signed book. Jason is funny and if you aren't familiar with his humor it may have seemed that he took too much of the time on that. We heard a hilarious and gruesome Wilco bus sickness on the 20 hour drive to Sweden (Switzerland?) story, plans for a spring solo tour, about people in Belleville being dicks, a little more on how the mumble lyrics song writing practice works for Jeff, that he wrote the book mostly from his summer home in MI, that he won't be reading the next book for audio and instead will pass that on
  5. Post conversation setlist: Bombs Above Hummingbird Let's Go Rain
  6. ...just to be clear...and not saying management hasn't changed...but PR is often separate from management...
  7. It is good. Why did I have the impression that the album was just Jeff on acoustic?! Pleasantly surprised to hear percussion etc.
  8. Saw this and am looking forward to it - i bet they have a surprise in store or two. Liam Cunningham is also confirmed (via his sister Sima who is not there). Seems weird to promote a solo album with a full band performance!
  9. It couldn't sound more odd! Even your reaction - glad I went/fell asleep more than once! haha
  10. New article in Philadelphia Inquirer: http://www2.philly.com/philly/entertainment/music/jeff-tweedy-wilco-memoir-lets-go-free-library-20181109.html I liked this: I interviewed you when you played the Philadelphia Folk Festival in 2010 and called you a “serial collaborator.” Is that right? You’ve teamed with a lot of people, from the Jays to Jim O’Rourke [on Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost Is Born] to three albums with Mavis Staples.I've actually been doing a lot in the past five or six years that's primarily been me making all the music. Most of the last few Wilco albums have b
  11. New article in Boston Globe: https://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/2018/11/08/wilco-jeff-tweedy-details-making-his-memoir/Rsh81RawapyslIav7pYHzO/story.html Couple interesting passages to me: ‘If I have a message,” said Jeff Tweedy, “it’s that everybody should make stuff. Everybody should feel liberated to do that. People suck at sports, but they feel compelled to play softball the rest of their lives when they discover they’re not any good at it. But [most] people stop creating when they leave kindergarten. They don’t give themselves any license to sit and make something that wasn’t there.”
  12. There is a Spotify playlist for the book. Looks pretty good too. Any thoughts? Clues? Do people care about playlists?
  13. Antarctigo Vespucci not really sure what to expect live from Jeff Rosenstock & Chris Farren
  14. Awesome. I hadn't been digging the solo version at my usual 11 on a 10 scale for all Tweedy things, but this is amazing.
  15. There is another one of these up for auction. Great cause - Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law. So cool that Jeff and Sue donate these kinds of things. https://one.bidpal.net/resist18/browse/2(details:item/3) "A special behind-the-scenes look at the world of Wilco for the ultimate fan! You and 19 friends will receive a priceless private tour of The Loft, the exclusive Chicago-based rehearsal and recording studio space used by Grammy Award winner Jeff Tweedy and Wilco. 16. Jeff Tweedy‏Verified account @JeffTweedy Sep 21MoreTo whom it may concern: If you’re looking for my lyrics on the internet, they’re wrong. Unless they’re on http://wilcoworld.net . Thank you. Carry on.
  17. that is just silly! why not just put the second one on sale?
  18. Thought this was worth posting here: https://variety.com/2018/music/news/wilco-jeff-tweedy-publishing-administration-bmg-1202961817/ Jeff Tweedy has extended his global publishing administration deal with BMG. Originally signing with Bug Music in 2004, which was acquired by BMG in 2011, Tweedy in 2012 expanded his agreement to cover his entire songwriting catalog “I truly appreciate the loyalty and commitment BMG has shown me for so many years and I love that I will be able to continue working alongside these great people with familiar faces.”
  19. I will report back from Chicago for sure. Interesting that the event has not sold out. Feels like $30 for a signed book, to hear the conversation and take in a few songs at Music Box is a great deal/worthwhile... Just occurred to me that George Saunders would be an amazing candidate for this.
  20. I'm looking forward to finding out who the moderators are. Do people have hopes there? In Chicago: Greg Kot, Spencer Tweedy, Jessica Hopper, ??

  22. -When Tweedy heard "How's Jay?" from the crowd, first, he shrugged comically. Then he asked, "Which one? 'Cause one of them's dead."- Sounds pretty awful
