  1. AM: Casino Queen BT: I Got You MA: One by One ST: Shot in the Arm MA2: Secret of the Sea YHF: War on War AGIB: Spiders SBS: Hate it Here W(TA): One Wing TWL: Whole Love I didn't realize how many of the songs are just okay on the last three albums. The first albums were very difficult to pick just one song and then the last three were hard to find a single song. I didn't realize I felt this way about the catalog...

    Pat Sansone

Saw a tweet that Pat is a prize for the winner of The NewSong Music Competition. An EP Recorded and Mixed by Producer, Musician and Songwriter Pat Sansone (Wilco, The Autumn Defense) at Asheville, NC’s Echo Mountain Recording Studios https://www.newsong-music.com/contest-information/#/prizes/
  3. Wasn't able to get one before they were gone. PM me if you have an extra! Thanks!
  4. Pat Sansone in a few hours!
  5. It was a really fun show. First show of their tour and I think it took Adam a little time to show personality (mid set). He's a great singer. Queen's catalog is so awesome. It was just fun to watch the songs be performed by the band with a big production. Brian was worth the price alone. I'd never seen him play. They did all the hits and some deep cuts too.
  6. I attended this benefit concert last night. The beneficiary was "A Foundation to be Named Later" which I understand to be Theo Epstein's baby. Theo is the GM of the Chicago Cubs. The bill was headlined by Tom Morello, John Stirrat, Jimmy Chamberlin, Peter Gammons, Scott Lucas and a ton of others. Len Kasper who is the Cubs play-by-play announcer also performed and put most of the music together. There were some strange combinations and in general they stuck to Chicago related songs. The night opened with "The Chicago Allstars" doing a set of songs highlighted by two Urge Overkill songs. The
  7. Hot Stove Cool Music charity show at Metro - Tom Morello, John Stiratt, Theo etc. Quite a different show from last night (Queen)
  8. I was thinking about this too. The only secret show type scenarios I can think of (within the last 14 years) are the Rahm Emanuel benefit where he played 3 songs (all Beyonce covers) and then once makin a guest appearance with the Bottle Rockets for 1 or 2 songs. There was a show at the Hideout in the Leroy-Glenn-John-Jeff era, but I don't know that it was a secret.
  9. Pretty exclusive list of people that Tweedy is following...
  10. Nels is on today's 5049 podcast http://www.5049records.com/nels-cline
  11. I respect your opinion, but I love Yield!!! It is a great listen all the way through album. I also think AGIB is so much better than Elephant!
  12. I caught CRB Saturday night. It was really mediocre. I've seen them before and the previous show was so fun. Saturday's show just dragged and dragged. The pacing and, I hate to say it, the musicianship wasn't there. During Roll Old Jeremiah, it sounded like all 5 musicians were playing a different song. I didn't stay for the encore. Many in the not sold out crowd (30%??) left before I did. Still like the music on the records, but it is going to be hard to get me to another CRB show...
  13. Chris Robinson Brotherhood. Hope he breaks out some Amorica tonight.
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where_It's_At #5 US Modern Rock billboard chart. Has to be as high as Marcy Playground or Better than Ezra...
  15. Beck a one hit wonder?? Devil's Haircut and Where It's At have to be considered hits, no?
  16. i'm with you on Highway Companion and Echo being great albums. I don't think they have great singles though. Walls was the last great single imo.
  17. new song is not great. Opening riff sounds like old guys trying to sound young. He really hasn't had a good single since She's The One, has he?
  18. Strange, we thought he was going to be here: Jun 4: Nels Cline performs with Go: Organic Guitar Orchestra Shape Shifter Lab Brooklyn, NY maybe he pulled double duty?
  19. What do you all think of the first song "I'll Sing It"? Loving the bass and vocals.
