  1. Well, 50 to 125 is a big range and you are right. some dates are up on ticketmaster and they are basically charging $90.
  2. Had the same experience and dang are floor seats expensive. So, the front half of the floor is ga and the back is assigned?
  3. Friday's 5 for 5 special is pretty cool too. Getting Beck's new album for $5 is a great deal.
  4. I read they are going to be back in summer of '09. Doesn't Brian live in FL?
  5. could somebody pm me the password?
  6. I take ideas from this forum too often without contributing... I just finished: Our Band Could Be Your Life Ham on Rye Which were both great books On to more VC recommended readings now (Thank you Chicago Public Library for making it easy to get books I want).
  7. But I Am Trying to Break Your Heart is the ultimate non-rare song right?
  8. I just got back. Did a cruise from Istanbul to Athens. We stopped in Rhodes, Santorini and Mykanos for a day on the way and then spent 2 days/ nights in Athens. I highly recommend Santorini if you like walking around. Rhodes was nice too. You won't need a lot of time in either of those places. Mykanos didn't do much for me but we didn't spend a night which is when I hear it gets fun there. i would say 3 days in Athens is about right.
  9. Is there a reason the Pumpkins haven't played a show in Chicago since reforming?
  10. Well it won't be all of Wilco at the show because Nels has a show in Colorado that night. I don't see any gigs lined up for Mike, Glenn, Pat, John or another local Obama supporter, Andrew Bird...
  11. Tickets are 500, 250 or 100. Any guesses as to Jeff's friends?
  12. Not true. They are playing in Indianapolis on Sunday the third. They are playing Friday at Lolla. http://www.radiohead.com/tourdates/
  13. Nope - that is a typical Dave show. I've been to at least 5 like that.
  14. Going to see Mike Ness tonight in Chicago. I don't see the show info on the backstreets link. When did the show occur?
  15. I did just this when they came to the Vic a couple years ago and low and behold, The Blisters and their parents were watching from one of the boxes. It was a fun show.
  16. That isn't true. Albums that were scheduled to be released on 9/11 weren't then not released. Love and Theft came out that day. YHF may have at one time been scheduled for that date, but not up until that date.
  17. I like the first three: Izzy Stradling and the Ju Ju Hounds 117 Degrees Ride On The song writing goes downhill after that. Even so, it is amusing that Izzy has put out 7 albums since Use Your Illusion and Axl has put out a cover album, a live album and recorded 5 released songs with other people.
  18. I wasn't that impressed by any of the bands. Thought the Walkmen's rythm section was lacking and that spoon was just going through the motions. Maybe that was just me though...
  19. A. Spoon is too big to open for Wilco in theaters and B. I saw them last night and it was unfortunately boring.
  20. Itunes sold it for a while today http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/inde...s-itunes-early/ And people are already second guessing the single selection...
  21. I was at the Metro show and have to say that it was a blast.
